Broken Arrow High School is the highest level of secondary education in the Broken Arrow Public Schools system, for students in tenth through twelfth grade. Combined with the Broken Arrow Freshman Academy, it is the largest high school in the state of Oklahoma. [2] Its current principal is Crystal Barber. [3]
The first high-school level education in Broken Arrow happened in fall 1910 with the formation of Broken Arrow Public Schools. [4] A new building was built in 1952, and the current campus opened in its original format in 1982. [5] A new football stadium was opened in 2000, replacing one used since 1930. [6]
An approved $295 million bond in 2009 resulted in the building of a new indoor training facility for the football team, as well as other groups receiving upgrades to their facilities. [7] A new science wing opened in October 2017. [8]
A 2017 plan to split BAHS into two high schools by 2021 was scrapped for a plan that focused more on career preparation. [9]

Broken Arrow's competitive marching band, the Pride of Broken Arrow, was the 2006, 2011, 2015, and 2021 Bands of America Grand Nationals champion. With their 2021 Grand National Finals performance, they achieved the record for the highest BOA score of all time, with a 98.25. [11] [12] [13] As of 2021, the Pride has won 19 consecutive Oklahoma Bandmasters Association State Marching Championships. [14] The Pride is the only 3-time winner of the Sudler Shield, awarded by the John Philip Sousa Foundation, winning it in 1999, 2008, and 2015. [15] The group was also the subject of the independent film The Pride of Broken Arrow, which chronicled the 2001 season. [16]
The Broken Arrow indoor percussion ensemble was founded in 2014, and won a national championship in 2016. [17]
BAHS has two competitive show choirs, the mixed-gender "Tiger Rhythm" and the all-female "Tiger Mystique". [18] Tiger Rhythm has won championships in Texas, Missouri and Nebraska. [19] [20]
Broken Arrow is a city in Tulsa and Wagoner counties in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It is the largest suburb of Tulsa. According to the 2020 census, Broken Arrow has a population of 113,540 residents and is the 4th most populous city in the state. The city is part of the Tulsa Metropolitan Area, which has a population of 1,023,988 residents.
The University of Oklahoma (OU) is a public research university in Norman, Oklahoma, United States. Founded in 1890, it had existed in Oklahoma Territory near Indian Territory for 17 years before the two territories became the state of Oklahoma. In Fall 2023, the university had 32,676 students enrolled, most at its main campus in Norman. Employing nearly 4,000 faculty members, the university offers 174 baccalaureate programs, 199 master's programs, 101 doctoral programs, and 88 certificate programs.
Bishop Kelley High School is an American Lasallian Catholic high school with 905 students, grades 9 to 12, located at 41st and Hudson Avenue, in the center of the Tulsa metropolitan area, on a campus spanning just over 47 acres (150,000 m2). The school is formerly a function of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tulsa, but is now incorporated separately, and operates in the Lasallian tradition of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.
Enid High School (EHS) is a public tertiary school in Enid, Oklahoma, U.S., operated by the Enid Public Schools school district. With a student body of about 2035 in grades 9-12, Enid High School has a matriculation rate of about 65 percent. Some graduates continue their education at University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, or other establishments in Oklahoma. In recent years some have gone to West Point, Princeton University, Trinity University (Texas), Texas A&M Maritime Academy and Yale University.
Norman High School is a four-year public high school in Norman, Oklahoma, with a steady enrollment of approximately 2,000 students. It is accredited by North Central Association, the Oklahoma State Department of Education and the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association. The school year consists of two 15-week semesters with a 6 class flexible schedule, consisting of 52 minute periods. Norman High School is part of the Norman Independent School District No. 29 of Cleveland County, Oklahoma, more commonly known as Norman Public Schools (NPS). Norman High was ranked as one of the top 1,400 high schools in the United States in 2009.
The John Philip Sousa Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to the promotion of band music internationally. The foundation administers a number of projects and awards supporting high quality band performance, conducting, and composition.
John Overton High School is a public high school located in Oak Hill, Tennessee. It is named after prominent Judge John Overton (1766–1833), advisor to President Andrew Jackson. The school opened in September 1958 and was renovated and expanded in 1995. The school most recently underwent a US$30,000,000.00 renovation, approved for FY 2015–2016, which strategically expanded school classrooms and other spaces. The school has won 14 state championships.
Clinton High School is a suburban public high school located in Clinton, Mississippi, United States, serving grades 10–12. It is a part of Jenks Public Schools, which first opened the high school location in 1955 and completing the junior and senior high school in 1959.
