The original Buchanhaven Hearts side were founded in 1908 and existed as a Junior club until 1946. After several years in abeyance, the club re-formed in 1959 as a Welfare side before re-joining the SJFA in 1971. A new committee was formed in July 2023, on returning to the Premier division. The committee are working hard behind the scenes to modernize the football club and organising events and sponsors that will continue to provide financial stability for years to come.
The Buchanhaven Hearts social club has a bar and a large function hall. The social club supports the football club and provides excellent hospitality packages for home fixtures.

The term "junior" refers to the level of football played, not the age of the players. The closest equivalent terminology would be non-League football in England, the difference being that junior football in Scotland was not similarly integrated into its football league system until 2021.

Deveronside Junior Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Banff. Members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, they currently play in the SJFA North Championship. Founded in 1977, the club were based at Canal Park in Banff before relocating to the newly constructed Myrus Centre in Macduff in November 2016. The club were forced to take a season out in 2006–07 after failing to find a manager but returned the following year.
Islavale Football Club are a Scottish football club based in the town of Keith, Moray. The club were based at Fife Park in the Fife Keith area of the town before moving to Simpson Park in 1998. The Vale are near neighbours of local Highland League side Keith, whose Kynoch Park ground they used to occasionally share. Team colours are red and black.
Lossiemouth United Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Lossiemouth, Moray that were latterly members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, North Region. The original club formed in 1949, lasting for ten years. The second incarnation ran from 1964 to 2015. Home matches are played at the Coulardbank Playing Fields where a pitch was enclosed to comply with SJFA regulations. In earlier years, United had shared Grant Park with their Highland League neighbours, Lossiemouth F.C. Club colours are dark blue and black.
The 2022–23 North Region Junior Football League was the 21st season of the North Region Junior Football League for SJFA North Region member clubs, and the 2nd season with its top division as part of the sixth tier of the Scottish football pyramid system. The league reverted back to a two-tier setup, featuring a 14-team Premier League and 16-team Championship.
