Ellon United Football Club is a Scottish football club from the town of Ellon, Aberdeenshire. Members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, they currently play in the North Super League. Founded around 1890, the club had also played in local Amateur and Senior competitions before joining the SJFA in 1974. They are based in The Meadows Sports Centre in Ellon along with Ellon RFC and local football sides. Club colours are red and black.

Colony Park Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. Colony Park F.C. was established in 1978 by five local Inverurie men, Dod Reid, Wattie Strachan, Bob Gibb, Frank Heldreth and George Mitchell. They are the largest Juvenile football club in North-East Scotland, running teams from under-7 through to under-19 level. The 2017–18 North Superleague is the seventeenth staging of the North Superleague, the highest tier of league competition in the North Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association. The winners of this competition are eligible to enter the 2018–19 Scottish Cup.

The 2018–19 North Superleague was the 18th season of the North Superleague, the top tier of league competition for SJFA North Region member clubs.
