Bukit Bendera is a populated area in Tutong, the town of Tutong District, Brunei. It is officially a village-level subdivision under the mukim or subdistrict of Pekan Tutong, [1] as well as a designated postcode area with the postcode TA1341. [2] The Tutong Municipal Department spans an area of about 0.024 square kilometres (0.0093 sq mi), encompassing parts of Petani and Bukit Bendera. [3]
A medical clinic was established in 1932 at a government residence. [4] In 1954, a bonfire celebration honoring Lord Rowallan as the Chief Scout of Great Britain was held in Bukit Bendera. [5]
Building a septic tank and other infrastructure for the government quarters in Bukit Bendera began in 1977. [6]
Bukit Bendera Malay School, [7] former staff included Hussain Mohammad Yussof. [8] The school would be succeeded by Muda Hashim Secondary School. [9]
Sungai Basong National Park, is a 20 hectares (49 acres) park. [10]
Sugan Muslim Cemetery, [11] is an old burial site dating as far back as 1499. [12]

Saiful Rijal was the sultan of Brunei from 1530 to 1581. He was succeeded by his eldest son Shah Brunei.
Sulaiman ibni Sharif Ali, also known as Senior King and Adipati Agung, was the fifth Sultan of Brunei, according to Silsilah Raja-Raja Berunai. He succeeded his father in 1432 and ruled until his abdication in 1485, to allow his son Bolkiah to become Sultan.
Abdul Hakkul Mubin ibni Muhammad Panjang, posthumously known as Al-Marhum di Pulau, was the Sultan of Brunei from 1661 to 1673. He was involved in the Brunei Civil War and ruled the sultanate from 1661 to 1673, after killing his uncle, Sultan Muhammad Ali.

Mohamed Husain bin Mohamed Yusof was the first Bruneian sent to Australia for teacher training and contributed to founding the Brunei Malay Teacher's College, where he served as a school inspector and professor. Promoted to chief inspector of Malay schools in 1961 and later to deputy inspector in 1967, he retired as inspector in 1973. In his later years, he held positions on the Public Service Commission (PSC) and other educational organisations.

Cermin Island is an islet at the mouth of Brunei River in the Mukim Kota Batu, Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. During the Brunei Civil War, a battle unfolded on the island and it's sometimes referred to as the Peperangan Pulau Cermin. A proposal for an 5 hectares protection status to be implemented on the island. The island is home to sundry vegetation and swamp forests.
Sufri Bolkiah ibni Omar Ali Saifuddien III is a member of the royal family of Brunei. He is the third son of Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei, and Raja Isteri (Queen) Pengiran Anak Damit. He is also the President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC) since 2010.

Nasruddin ibni Besar Abdullah, sometimes spelled Nassaruddin and posthumously named Marhum di Kianggeh, was the self-proclaimed 16th Sultan of Brunei and the grandson of Sultan Abdul Jalilul Akbar. Pengiran Abu Bakar bin Pengiran Umar was a Bruneian nobleman, civil servant, and politician who served as the fifth Speaker of the Legislative Council of Brunei. He held this position from 1 December 1974 until his retirement on 14 December 1981. Notably, he was the father-in-law of Princess Masna Bolkiah. Tasek Lama Recreational Park or Tasek Lama Park, is an urban park located along Jalan Tasek Lama of Kampong Tasek Lama, in the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan. As one of the oldest recognised parks in the nation, it features an artificial lake and waterfall. The park is a popular destination for both locals and visitors, offering a rare green space within the city. In addition to its scenic landscape, it is known for its diverse bird population, attracting birdwatchers to observe about 80 bird species known to exist there.
Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien is a historical urban park, located in the Pusat Bandar of Bandar Seri Begawan, where significant state ceremonies are held, including the Sultan's birthday celebrations, National Day, the National Musabaqah Al-Quran, and the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, among others. Formerly known as Padang Besar, the park underwent renovations in 1983 and was renamed in honour of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III. This site holds historical importance, as it was the location of Brunei's declaration of independence reading on 1 January 1984.
Kampong Sumbiling Lama is a neighbourhood in Kampong Ayer, the riverine stilt settlement in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. It was officially a village subdivision under Sungai Kedayan, a mukim (subdistrict) of Brunei–Muara District. The village's name originated from the division of Kampong Sumbiling into two sections, one of which became Kampong Sumbiling Baru.
