CM Yoko is the third studio album by Yoko Kanno. It was originally released exclusively though the iTunes Store on September 30, 2007. All the music was written by Yoko Kanno and the majority was for Japanese television advertisements. It reached the 44th place on the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart. [1]

Yoko Kanno is a Japanese composer, arranger and music producer of soundtracks for anime series, video games, television dramas and movies. She has written scores for Cowboy Bebop, Terror in Resonance, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Wolf's Rain, Turn A Gundam and Darker than Black. Kanno is a keyboardist and the frontwoman for Seatbelts, who perform many of her compositions.
Olga Vitalevna Yakovleva, better known as Origa, was a Russian singer who rose to prominence for her musical collaborations in Japan, especially her work for the Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. franchise.
Ilaria Graziano is an Italian singer. She gained popularity with the release of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and the subsequent original soundtracks, composed by Yoko Kanno.
Single Collection+ Hotchpotch is the first compilation album released by Japanese singer Maaya Sakamoto. The album was originally released in Japan by Victor Entertainment in 1999, this collection was also released in the United States market by Geneon Entertainment (USA) in 2005. It was re-released in 2010 as a part of Maaya's Debut 15th anniversary reissue series.

Romantic is an EP by Japanese singer/songwriter Chisato Moritaka, released on July 10, 1988 by Warner Pioneer. The EP is themed around summer, headlined by Moritaka's cover of Dionne Warwick's "Do You Know the Way to San Jose". While the album is packaged in a standard 12 cm CD case, the disc itself is an 8 cm mini CD.

Kanno was approached by director Tensai Okamura in regards to ideas about detective stories-like scenario to fit the atmosphere. For the sequel, Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor, Kanno was replaced by Yasushi Ishii who described his music as a battlefield.
