Caitlin De Ville (born 9 March 1989) is a Zambian electric violinist based in Cape Town, South Africa. She released her debut album Serengeti Sunrise in 2017. [2] A popular touring musician, De Ville has toured as a solo artist and with bands like Turisas.
De Ville was born in the city of Chingola in the Zambian copperbelt and raised in the nearby city of Kitwe. She moved to Cape Town at age eighteen. [2]
De Ville started uploading videos to YouTube in 2009, [3] and her violin covers of popular songs gained online popularity during the 2010s. [4] By 2018 her channel was one of the top ten YouTube channels in South Africa. [5] As of July 2022, she has more than 235 million views on her YouTube videos and remains one of the most subscribed to creators in South Africa. [6] [7]
In 2019, she toured with the Finnish metal band Turisas. [8]

Turisas is a Finnish metal band from Hämeenlinna who, since 2022, have been on an indefinite hiatus. They were founded in 1997 by Mathias Nygård and Jussi Wickström, and named after an ancient Finnish god of war.

The Shatter Me/Music Box 2014/2015 Tour is a worldwide concert tour by violinist Lindsey Stirling in support of her second studio album Shatter Me. The first tour dates were announced at the end of 2013 and the tour started on May 13 of the next year. The 2014 North and European American leg of Lindsey Stirling's tour consisted of her performing 77 shows over a five-month time span. For 2015, Stirling did 67 shows over five continents. The group also has a sister channel, Outside Xtra, or Oxtra, consisting of Luke Westaway and Ellen Rose. The group is best known for video games commentary, journalism, and gameplay. The channel also hosts the Oxventure, a real-play tabletop role-playing game series primarily encompassing Dungeons & Dragons but occasionally others such as Blades in the Dark and Deadlands and featuring fellow YouTuber Johnny Chiodini and which was later launched as its own channel. Caitlin Aileen Rooskrantz is a South African artistic gymnast. She represented South Africa at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was the first South African gymnast to qualify for the Olympics without a continental quota. Rooskrantz and teammate Naveen Daries became the first female gymnasts of color to represent South Africa and the Olympics. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games uneven bars bronze medalist, South Africa's first gymnastics medal at the Commonwealth Games since 2010. She is the 2022 African all-around champion and a two-time African uneven bars champion. She is a two-time uneven bars gold medalist on the FIG World Cup series. She will represent South Africa at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
