The Pernambuco Futsal Championship is a competition organized and run by the Pernambuco Futsal Federation (FPFS). The competitions were previously promoted by the Pernambuco Amateur Sports Federation (FPDA), which held the first Pernambuco Futsal Championship in 1960. The competition featured teams from Recife, Caruaru, Vitória de Santo Antão, and other cities in the state. [1]
The competition has a history of drawing large crowds to matches, whether in the capital or in the interior, as well as featuring national champion clubs in various categories, and also teams from the interior that have also been champions, making it a democratic championship. [2] [3]
