Captains of the World is a television documentary series produced in a collaboration between Netflix, Fulwell 73 and FIFA+ to give a behind-the-scenes look at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. [1] [2] It is a follow-up to the 2022 co-produced series Captains, which documented players' efforts as their teams fought to qualify for the highly anticipated sporting event that took place in Qatar.

The documentary features behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive interviews with captains, prominent players, coaches and more – including Harry Kane, Gareth Bale, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé and Simon Kjær; and revisits the tragedies and triumphs of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. From Messi's records with Argentina's big win to the biggest upsets of players like Ronaldo, Harry Kane and Thiago Silva, the story covers every angle of the journey. [3] [4]

For the first season, the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported a 70% approval rating with an average rating of 7/10 based on 3 reviews. [5] On IMDb, the docuseries scored a rating of 8.3/10 based on 3,500 audience reviews. [6] In the first week of its release, it ranked as the 4th most watched TV show worldwide with 348M hours watched, and ended the first week in Netflix's Top 10 list in over 60 countries. [7]

Neymar: The Perfect Chaos is a 2022 Netflix docuseries about Brazilian professional football player Neymar. Directed by David Charles Rodrigues, it is in Portuguese with subtitles available in other languages and consists of three episodes chronicling Neymar's rise to stardom, both within and outside of football, as well as a deeper look at the relationship between Neymar and his father, also named Neymar. Executive producers include LeBron James and Maverick Carter. The knockout stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup was the second and final stage of the competition, following the group stage. Played from 3 to 18 December, the knockout stage ended with the final, held at Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Qatar. The top two teams from each group advanced to the knockout stage to compete in a single-elimination tournament. There were 16 matches in the knockout stage, including a third place play-off played between the two losing teams of the semi-finals.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup final was the final match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the 22nd edition of FIFA's competition for men's national football teams. The match was played at Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Qatar, on 18 December 2022, the Qatari National Day, and was contested by Argentina and defending champions France.
