Carandbike.com is an Indian automotive news portal and online used car market place that covers the news of automobile industry, founded in 2015. It is currently owned by Mahindra Group after its acquisition from NDTV. The platform is also known as NDTV Auto. It also acts as a marketplace for new and used cars, and publishes reviews from automotive sector. [3] [4]

History

Carandbike.com started in 2015 and was operated by Fifth Gear Ventures. [4] It was part of media house NDTV before its acquisition by Mahindra & Mahindra through its unit Mahindra First Choice Wheels Limited. [6]

In 2016, NDTV Limited had held 39.57 percent of the company, while 39.58 percent was held by NDTV Convergence Ltd. [7]

In January 2016, Carandbike.com tie up with Mahindra Group for the launch of KUV100. [8] In January 2018, Tata Motors partnered with Carandbike.com for the online bookings of its Tata Tiago. [3]

The company has established Carandbike Awards to recognize the best in the automobile industry. [9]

Sanand Plant is a passenger vehicles manufacturing facility located in Chharodi village of Sanand taluka in Ahmedabad district, Gujarat, India; owned and operated by Tata Motors. It is also their newest car manufacturing facility and manufactures popular hatchbacks like Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor. Initially it was started to manufacture the Tata Nano, but now it manufactures other hatchbacks like Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor. The plant reached 100% capacity utilization in 2018. Tata Motors rolled out the 3,00,000th Tiago manufactured at Sanand plant in 2020.

CarTrade.com is an Indian online auto classifieds platform serving as a marketplace for users interested in buying and selling new and used vehicles.
