The Carolinas International Tennis Tournament, also known by its sponsored name North Carolina National Bank Tennis Classic, was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament founded in 1965. [1] Also known as the Carolinas Invitational [2] it was played at the Julian J. Clark Tennis Stadium on the grounds of the Olde Providence Racquet Club in Charlotte, North Carolina from 1965 through 1977. The inaugural edition was part of the Grand Prix tennis circuit while the following editions were part of the World Championship Tennis (WCT) circuit. The event was held on outdoor hard courts in 1971, and on outdoor clay courts in 1970 and from 1972 through 1977.

The 1970 ILTF Women's Tennis Circuit was the 57th season since the formation of the International Lawn Tennis Federation in 1913, and the 96th season since the first women's tournaments were held in 1876.

The Midland RC International was a men's and women's professional tennis tournament first founded in 1964 as the Midland Racquet Club National Invitational. It was first played on outdoor hard courts at the Midland Racquet Club, Midland, Texas, United States. The event ran for five editions and was usually staged late September to mid October annually until 1972.
