Chadwick E. "Chad" Harting (born February 20, 1972) is a retired American pole vaulter. [1]

He won the silver medal at the 1997 Summer Universiade.[ citation needed ] He competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, in the men's pole vault. [1] His personal best jump was 5.80 metres, achieved indoors in January 2000 in Reno, Nevada. [2]

Harting was born in St. Louis, Missouri. [1]

He represented England in the pole vault event, at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Four years later he represented England again in the pole vault at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
