Suchan Chae, a former member of the National Assembly of Korea, is a professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. He also serves as the chairman of the board of the Han River Society.

Academic and political career

While in the National Assembly, he was a member of the National Policy Committee, which had oversight over the Financial Supervisory Service and the Fair Trade Commission, and also a member of the Finance and Economy Committee, which had oversight over the Ministry of Finance and Economy. He also served as the Special Envoy of President Roh Mu-hyun to the 2005 World Economic Forum at Davos. During the Asian economic crisis, he advised Korean policy makers including President Kim Dae-jung, and wrote columns both in Korean and in English in worldwide newspapers regarding the solutions to the crisis. Before he was elected to the Korean National Assembly, he had been an economics professor at Rice University for almost 20 years. He earned a B.S. and M.S. in mathematics in his native South Korea before coming to the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his Ph.D. in economics in 1985. [2]

Suchan Chae's professional publications have mostly been in the areas of bargaining theory, industrial organization, and general economic theory. He has held visiting positions in universities and research institutes in several countries. In South Korea, he has been a visitor at the Korea Development Institute, Korea Information Society Development Institute, and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy. He has also been as a guest scholar with the Brookings Institution. [3]

Chung Un-chan

Chung Un-chan was the Prime Minister of South Korea (2009–2010). He was a professor of Seoul National University from 1978 to 2009, serving as the president of the university from July 2002 to July 2006 until he was designated to the Prime Minister. Robin William Boadway, is a Canadian economist. He held the David Smith Chair at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Earlier he was Sir Edward Peacock Professor of Economic Theory at Queen's University. He has taught at Queen's University since 1973. He was Head of the Department of Economics at Queen's from 1981–86, and was previously Associate Director of the John Deutsch Institute for the Study of Economic Policy.

Mihir Rakshit Indian economist

Mihir Rakshit is a reputed Indian economist, known for his work on fiscal, monetary and other policy, especially issues that concern developing economies. Originally from Chittagong, which is now in Bangladesh, he did his graduation from Presidency College, Calcutta and post-graduation from the University of Calcutta. José De Gregorio Chilean economist, academic, and politician

José De Gregorio Rebeco is a Chilean economist, academic, researcher, consultant and politician. He has been the Governor of the Central Bank of Chile, Minister of the Economy, Mining and Energy during the administration of Ricardo Lagos and is currently the Dean of the School of Economics and Business of the Universidad de Chile. He is also a nonresident Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics.

Hyun-Song Shin

Suk-Chae Lee is a South Korean businessman. Lee was the Chairman and CEO of KT Corporation from January 14, 2009 until November 12, 2013. He was South Korea's Minister of Information and Communication from 1995 to 1996.

Sérgio T. Rebelo is a Portuguese economist who is the current MUFG Bank Distinguished Professor of International Finance, where served as Chair of the Finance Department at the Kellogg School of Management. He is also a co-director of the Center for International Macroeconomics at Northwestern University. He received his doctorate in economics from University of Rochester in 1989, and has served in a variety of roles in the non-profit sector. He is a fellow of the Econometric Society, the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a research fellow at the Center for Economic and Policy Research. He has been a member of the editorial board of various academic journals which include American Economic Review, the European Economic Review, the Journal of Monetary Economics, and the Journal of Economic Growth. He has studied the causes of business cycles, the impact of economic policy on economic growth, and the sources of exchange rate fluctuations. His research primarily focuses around macroeconomics, economic systems, and international finance.

Vladimir Aleksandrovich Mau

Vladimir Aleksandrovich Mau — Russian economist, closely connected to Ye.T. Gaidar, member of the Board of Directors of Gazprom PJSC since 2011. Since 2002, Rector of the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation; since 2010, Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
