Chamara Repiyallage also known as Chamara Dharmawardana (born 10 May 1992) is a Sri Lankan judoka. [1] [2] He is also attached with Sri Lanka Air Force.

Career

Chamara represented Sri Lanka at the 2014 Commonwealth Games which was his maiden appearance at the Commonwealth Games. [3] He competed in the men's 73kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and reached round of 16 before being eliminated by Jake Bensted. [4]

He represented Sri Lanka at the 2016 Summer Olympics which also marked his debut Olympic appearance and competed in the men's 73 kg event, in which he was eliminated in the third round by Lasha Shavdatuashvili. [5] [6] He clinched a silver medal in the 73kg event at the 2016 South Asian Games. [7]

He also competed in the men's 73kg event at the 2017 World Judo Championships and also competed in the men's 73kg event at the 2019 World Judo Championships [8] He made his Asian Games debut during the 2018 Asian Games and competed in the men's 73kg event. He secured a gold medal in the 73kg category at the 2019 South Asian Games.

Chamara has qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics through an invitation from the Tripartite Commission, and will be Sri Lanka's flag bearer at the Parade of Nations alongside gymnast Milka Gehani. [9] [10]

Neuso Sigauque is a Mozambican judoka who competes in the men's 60 kg category. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he was defeated in the second round by Tony Lomo. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, he reached the bronze medal match, which he lost to Ashley McKenzie.

Dominic Dugasse is a Seychellois judoka who competed in the -100 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he lost in the first round of the event to Henk Grol of the Netherlands. He was the flag bearer for the Seychelles during the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.

Sally Conway is a Scottish retired judoka who competed for Team GB in the 2012 and the 2016 Rio Olympics in the women's 70 kg judo event. Conway won a bronze medal in the 2016 Olympics. She competed for Scotland at women's 70 kg judo event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, where she won a bronze medal.

Anneliese Rubie is an Australian sprinter. Also known as Anneliese Rubie-Renshaw, she was a semi finalist at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and the 2015 World Championships in Beijing. She also ran in the semi-finals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She ran the second leg for the women's 4 × 400 m which made the Olympic final in 2016.

Tehani Egodawela, also known as M. G. T. U. E. Egodawela, or Udeshika Egodawela is a Sri Lankan sports shooter and a current national record holder in shooting. She competed at the postponed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Aramitsu Kitazono is a Japanese visually impaired Paralympic judoka. He made his first Paralympic appearance during the 2012 Summer Paralympics. He was set to represent Japan at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in the judoka competition but had to withdraw from the event after being hit by a self driving bus.
