Chamian (Persian : چميان‎, also Romanized as Chamīān, Chemīyān, and Chimaiyān)^[1] is a village in Muran Rural District, in the Soveyseh District of Karun County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,392, in 291 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Muran Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Soveyseh District, Karun County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,391, in 1,845 families. The rural district has 12 villages. The rural district was established on 23 January 2013.

Soveyseh District is a district (bakhsh) in Karun County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. The District has no city. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Soveyseh Rural District and Muran Rural District. The district has a population of 16,616, in 3,131 families. The district was established on 23 January 2013.
