Charmed: The Book of Shadows (also known as Charmed: The Book of Shadows: Music From and Inspired By) is the second soundtrack album of the television series Charmed , which aired on The WB in the United States. It features music from the show's first seven seasons and was released on January 1, 2005, by Silva Screen Records.
Charmed: The Book of Shadows was produced by Jonathan Platt and Jonathan Scott Miller. [2] The soundtrack is made up mostly of tracks by little-known artists, though some better known ones, such as Dido, Vanessa Carlton, Sarah McLachlan and Ashlee Simpson, are also featured. [1] It also includes Charmed's theme song "How Soon Is Now?" by Love Spit Love. [3] Charmed: The Book of Shadows was released as a worldwide digital download on January 1, 2005 by Silva Screen Records. [3] It was later released as a CD in the United States on April 19, 2005 and in the United Kingdom on September 5, 2005. [4] [5]

Heather Phares of AllMusic gave Charmed: The Book of Shadows three stars out of five and praised the way in which the soundtrack "streamlines its approach", in comparison to the first soundtrack album, by focusing on a wide variety of female artists, echoing the theme of female empowerment raised in the television series. [1] Whilst aware that the soundtrack has little direct tie-in with the series, Phares complemented its use of little-known artists as well as its mixture of different musical genres in creating an original approach to a television soundtrack. [1] On May 7, 2005, Charmed: The Book of Shadows debuted at number 9 on the US Billboard Top Soundtracks chart [6] and number 20 on the US Billboard Top Independent Albums chart. [7]

Glee: The Music, Volume 1 is the debut soundtrack album by the cast of the musical television series Glee, which aired on Fox in the United States. It features cover versions from the first nine episodes of the first season and was released on November 2, 2009 by Columbia Records and 20th Century Fox Television Records. The album received mixed reviews from critics, with many praising large ensemble numbers, but comparing it to karaoke tracks. It went to number one on album charts in Ireland and the United Kingdom, and peaked at number three in Australia and number four in both Canada and the United States. Volume 1 has been certified platinum in these five countries.

The albums were released on June 26, 2007, by Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records. The albums were re-released separately for the first time on digital platforms on January 22, 2021. Both albums were further promoted with Cyrus' first headlining concert tour, the Best of Both Worlds Tour (2007–08). Most of the Meet Miley Cyrus album was produced by Rock Mafia, with further collaborations with Xandy Barry, Matthew Wilder, Scott Cutler and Wendi Foy Green. American singer-songwriter Nichole Nordeman has released five studio albums, one live album, four compilation albums, one extended play, one soundtrack album, eighteen singles, and three music videos. In 1998, after winning a contest sponsored by the Gospel Music Association, Nordeman was signed to Star Song Communications and Sparrow Records and began to work on her debut studio album, Wide Eyed. The album was released in September 1998 and entered the Billboard Christian Albums and Billboard Heatseekers Albums charts at number 16 and 29, respectively, both of which marked her chart debut. Wide Eyed spawned four singles, "To Know You," "Who You Are," "I Wish the Same", and "Wide Eyed", and has sold 130,000 copies in the United States. In May 2000, Nordeman released her second studio album, This Mystery, which charted on the Billboard Christian Albums chart at 12. Three singles, "This Mystery," "Fool For You" and "Every Season", were released from This Mystery. Nordeman's third studio album, Woven & Spun, was released in September 2002. The album entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 136 and at the Billboard Christian Albums chart at number five. All three of Woven & Spun's singles, "Holy", "Legacy", and "Even Then", became top forty hits on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. "Holy" spent 10 weeks at number one on the Christian AC radio charts. In May 2003, Nordeman released her first live album, Live at the Door, which was recorded at The Door music venue in Dallas, Texas. In May 2005, she released her fourth studio album, Brave. The album entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 119 and at the Billboard Christian Albums chart at number two, marking Nordeman's career highest charting debut. Its lead single and title track became her first Billboard number one hit on the Billboard Christian Songs chart, while its two succeeding singles, "What If" and "Real to Me", became top twenty hits on the chart.
