Wells Fargo Plaza (El Paso)

The Wells Fargo Plaza is a high-rise skyscraper located on 221 North Kansas Street in Downtown El Paso, Texas, United States. It opened as the State National Bank Plaza on October 25, 1971. It is 296 feet tall. It is designed in the International Style.

International Style (architecture) Type of modernist architecture

The International Style is a major architectural style that was developed in the 1920s and 1930s and was closely related to modernism and modern architecture. It was first defined by Museum of Modern Art curators Henry-Russell Hitchcock and Philip Johnson in 1932, based on works of architecture from the 1920s.

Originally named the El Paso National Bank tower, it was also known as the Texas Commerce Bank Tower in the 1980s and 1990s.

As of 2017, Chase will be moving out and losing naming rights of the tower. Jamie Gallagher, senior vice president of the Borderplex Realty Trust, which owns the 201 E. Main building, said the El Paso real estate investment trust is working with a new tenant to possibly replace Chase, and, she said, put its brand on the building.

Geographic coordinate system Coordinate system

A geographic coordinate system is a coordinate system that enables every location on Earth to be specified by a set of numbers, letters or symbols. The coordinates are often chosen such that one of the numbers represents a vertical position and two or three of the numbers represent a horizontal position; alternatively, a geographic position may be expressed in a combined three-dimensional Cartesian vector. A common choice of coordinates is latitude, longitude and elevation. To specify a location on a plane requires a map projection.
