Stephen B. Burke (born August 14, 1958) is an American businessman. He is the senior executive vice president of Comcast and chairman of NBCUniversal. [1] [2]
Steve Burke's father, Daniel Burke, was a former executive of Capital Cities Communications, which acquired the ABC network. [3] Steve Burke graduated from Colgate University in 1980. [4] In 1982, Burke graduated from the Harvard Business School with an MBA. [4]
Burke began his career as an associate product manager in the breakfast food division at General Foods. [5] In January 1986, Burke joined The Walt Disney Company and founded the Disney Store concept for the consumer product division. [3] From 1992 to 1996, Burke served as president and COO of Euro Disney. [4] In 1996, Burke was named executive vice president of ABC after the Walt Disney Company purchased the network. [6] The following year, Burke was named President of ABC Broadcasting. [7]
In 1998, Burke left Disney and became President of Comcast Cable. [8] In 2004, he was named Chief Operating Officer of Comcast Cable, in addition to his title of President. [9] In 2010, it was announced that Burke would become CEO of NBCUniversal after Comcast and General Electric completed a merger. [10] When Comcast and General Electric finished merging the assets of NBCUniversal with Comcast's programming assets the following year, Burke resigned his position as COO of Comcast before becoming CEO of NBCUniversal. [11]
In 2018, Burke led Comcast's acquisition of British pay-TV company, Sky, after dropping out of the bidding war with Disney to purchase 21st Century Fox. [12] In January 2019, Burke announced plans for NBCUniversal to launch a streaming service, later named Peacock, in 2020 using Sky's existing OTT video platform. [13]
As of 2009, Burke has served on the Board of Directors of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan Chase. [14] He has also served on the board of trustees of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. [15]
As of 2021, Burke became a board member for onxmaps.com out of Missoula, Montana. Following being appointed to the onXmaps board, he made a major investment in onXmaps through his family's investment company Madison Valley Partners. [16]
Steve Burke married his wife, Gretchen (née Hoadley) on July 23, 1983 and together they have five children. [5] [17] Burke has homes in New York City, Los Angeles and Rancho Cordova. [18]

The studio has released a total of 48 feature films, including several of the highest-grossing animated films of all time, with Shrek 2 (2004) having been the highest at the time of its release. Its first film, Antz, was released on October 2, 1998, and its latest film was Kung Fu Panda 4 on March 8, 2024; their upcoming theatrical slate of films includes The Wild Robot on September 20, 2024, and Dog Man on January 31, 2025. Additionally, DreamWorks has reserved two release dates for animated films: August 1, 2025 and September 26, 2025.
Robert Allen Iger is an American media business executive who serves as the chief executive officer (CEO) of The Walt Disney Company. He previously served as the President of the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) between 1994 and 1995 and as president and chief operating officer (COO) of Capital Cities/ABC, from 1995 until its acquisition by Disney in 1996. Iger was named president of Disney in 2000 and succeeded Michael Eisner as CEO in 2005, until his contract expired in 2020. He then served as executive chairman until his retirement from the company on December 31, 2021. After his exit from the company, Iger served, at the company's request, as an advisor to his successor. Iger was awarded $2 million per year for such advice. However, at the request of Disney's board of directors, Iger returned to Disney as CEO on November 20, 2022, following the unscheduled and immediate dismissal of his appointed successor, Bob Chapek. In July 2023, Disney renewed Iger's contract until 2026.

At some point in its history, it was also known as "NBCUniversal Television & New Media Distribution" and "NBC Universal Television and New Media Distribution.” This unit is possibly the parent for the similarly named "NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution" unit.

The film serves as a direct sequel to the Snow White fairy tale, wherein the titular heroine and the Prince are about to be married, but a new threat appears in the form of the late Evil Queen's vengeful brother, Lord Maliss. The plot replaces the Dwarfs with female cousins called the Dwarfelles, who aid Snow White against Maliss.
Digital Entertainment Network was a multimedia dot-com company founded in the late-1990s by Marc Collins-Rector and his partner, Chad Shackley. Rector and Shackley had sold their ISP, Concentric Network, and used the proceeds of that sale, along with additional investor funding, to launch DEN. On December 3, 2009, telecommunications company Comcast announced its intent to acquire mass media company NBC Universal from General Electric (GE). The acquisition was subject to scrutiny from activists and government officials; their concerns primarily surrounded the potential effects of the vertical integration that the acquisition could create, as Comcast is also heavily involved in cable television and internet services in many media markets. The deal went through on January 28, 2011, resulting in Comcast owning 51% of the company until March 19, 2013, when GE divested its stake to give Comcast sole ownership. Through this acquisition, Comcast gained ownership of the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), the film studio Universal Pictures, cable channels such as Syfy, CNBC and MSNBC, and Universal Parks & Resorts, among other assets owned by NBC Universal. It has also integrated its own cable channels – including E! and Golf Channel – into NBC Universal. As a result of the acquisition, NBC Universal slightly changed its name to "NBCUniversal", rendered in camel case, to indicate the integration between NBC and Universal Pictures.
