Chelpoor is one of the major Gramapanchayat in Karimnagar district in the Indian state of Telangana. [1] [2]
Although major religion is Hinduism people here also follow Muslim and Christianity. Under Chelpoor there are two hamlets Rajapalli on the south side and Kuruma palli on the east side. Population of Chelpoor is around 7,000, and numbers of registered voters are around 4810.
Cheploor is well connected to the state capital Hyderabad which is 176 km away by all weather roads and 168 km by train.
The main income resource for the people of Chelpoor is Agriculture. Cheploor has two large tanks called Pedda Cheruvu and Chinna cheruvu which caters to the irrigation needs in the area. Pedda cheruvu is used for irrigation in 500 Acres and Chinna cheruvu is used for 470 acres.
There are two ancient temples - one is Lord Narasimha swamy temple and the other one is Shivalayam, which is located on the East side of the village. Shivalayam was constructed by the great KAKATIYAS (Prataparudra / Rudradeva II, in 13th Century) with phenomenon sculpture .

Hirakud Dam is built across the Mahanadi River, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Sambalpur in the state of Odisha in India. It is the longest earthen dam in the world. Behind the dam extends a lake, Hirakud Reservoir, 55 km (34 mi) long. It is one of the first major multipurpose river valley projects started after India's independence. Hirakud Reservoir was declared a Ramsar site on 12 October 2021.

Kondaveedu Fort is a historically significant ancient hill fortress located in Kondaveedu, a village in the Chilakaluripet constituency of Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The site is located 16 miles west of the city of Guntur. Apart from this main fort, there are two other forts nearby. Efforts are in progress to classify Kondaveedu Fort as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Gandhinagar formerly known as Jalihal Camp, is one of the largest villages in Karnataka state in terms of area, population, property, agricultural production and revenue. Sirimanothsavam, is a festival organized to propitiate Goddess Pyddithallamma of Vizianagram Town. Siri means "goddess Lakshmi in other words wealth and prosperity " and manu means "trunk" or "log". The priest of the temple, while taking procession between the fort and temple three times in the evening, hangs from the tip of the long, lean wooden staff, raised high into the sky. The priest possessed by the goddess would himself tell a few days before, where this manu would be available. It is from that place only the log has to be procured. Hanging from the upper end of the staff, which is raised high into the sky, is a very risky exercise, but it is believed that the grace of the Goddess protects the priest from falling off. It is held in the month of September or October (Dasara) of every year. It is a great carnival attended by two to three lakhs of people from the neighboring towns and villages. The Rajas of Vizianagaram oversee the arrangements for this event. The APSRTC runs about 250 buses from different parts of the state to facilitate transport of devotees to Vizianagram to attend this festival.

The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) is a multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in Kaleshwaram, Bhupalpally, Telangana, India. Currently the world's largest multi-stage lift irrigation project, its farthest upstream influence is at the confluence of the Pranahita and Godavari rivers. The Pranahita River is itself a confluence of various smaller tributaries including the Wardha, Painganga, and Wainganga rivers which combine to form the seventh-largest drainage basin on the subcontinent, with an estimated annual discharge of more than 6,427,900 acre-feet (7,930 cubic hectometres) or 280 TMC. It remains untapped as its course is principally through dense forests and other ecologically sensitive zones such as wildlife sanctuaries.
