The neighborhood is located near the geographic center of the City and County of Denver and is a mixture of dense urban development and tree lined residential streets. It is bounded by the Cherry Creek on the south, East Sixth Avenue to the north, University Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard (Colorado State Highway 2) on the west and east, respectively. The neighborhood takes its name from the nearby Cherry Creek running along the south side of the neighborhood.
Because Denver was first settled along the confluence of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek, the term "Cherry Creek" is often used in business names, e.g. Cherry Creek Dentistry, to designate their affiliation with the metropolitan Denver area. Many of these businesses are not, however located in the Cherry Creek neighborhood. The Cherry Creek School District which is located in western Arapahoe County, Colorado is also sometimes confused with the Cherry Creek neighborhood because of its name, in spite of it not being located in Denver.
Cherry Creek is serviced by four major traffic arteries making it an easily accessible neighborhood by car. First, Speer Boulevard from Downtown Denver and LoDo becomes East First Avenue in Cherry Creek. Running along the eastern and western boundaries of the neighborhood are University Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard which allow connections from Interstate 25. Lastly, the East Seventh Avenue Parkway skirts the north side of the neighborhood allowing crosstown traffic to get to Cherry Creek. Cherry Creek is also serviced by the Regional Transportation District (RTD) public bus system. It has five main routes that service various parts of the neighborhood. These routes are the 1, 3, 46, and the 3 and the 83 limited.
Two major commercial centers exist in Cherry Creek along the major traffic route of East First Avenue. First is an upscale, enclosed shopping mall, the Cherry Creek Shopping Center , which anchors the neighborhood. Second, the main shopping district of Cherry Creek North is also located along East First, Second, and Third Avenues from University Boulevard to Steele Street with much of the remaining areas of the Cherry Creek neighborhood remaining residential.
Cherry Creek North is a 16 city-block area with a blend of locally-owned businesses and nationally recognized brands, including a variety of shops, restaurants, salons, spas and service providers. Fillmore Plaza, located on Fillmore Street between First and Second Avenues, is home to numerous community events including Cherry Creek North Food & Wine in summer and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.
The Cherry Creek neighborhood is home to the Ross-Cherry Creek local branch of the Denver Public Library. [1] The neighborhood is also home to Manley and Pulaski Parks, the Cherry Creek bike path, and the East Seventh Avenue Parkway, all part of the parks and recreation network of the City of Denver. Additionally, on the last Sunday in April (except Easter), a 5-mile foot race is held on the streets of Cherry Creek and the nearby parks and bike trails called the Cherry Creek Sneak.
As of the 2000 Census, there were 5,028 people living in 3,198 households in the Cherry Creek neighborhood. The mean household income was $95,236.93. In 2002, the average home price in Cherry Creek was $692,764.00. It was estimated in 2001 that the neighborhood was home to 15,004 jobs.

Glendale is an enclave of the City and County of Denver and is the most densely populated municipality in Colorado. The city is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor.
Colorado Boulevard is a major east–west street in Southern California. It runs from Griffith Park in Los Angeles east through Glendale, the Eagle Rock section of Los Angeles, Pasadena, and Arcadia, ending in Monrovia. The full route was once various state highways but is now locally maintained in favor of the parallel Ventura Freeway and Foothill Freeway (I-210).

Washington Park is a neighborhood and public urban park in Denver, Colorado. The Washington Park is a blend of historic and contemporary styles of architecture. The park was first developed by Architect Reinhard Schuetze in 1899. Its design was influenced by city planner Kessler, the Olmsted Brothers and philanthropist Margaret "Molly" Brown. The park is popular with both tourists and area residents, with some comparing it to New York City's Central Park. Apart from activities such as walking, biking or volleyball, the park serves as a center for community gatherings, such as the annual Furry Scurry. Wedding receptions are often held in the historic boathouse pavilion. In 2012 the American Planning Association designated the park one of its “Great Public Spaces in America”.
New York State Route 384 (NY 384) is a state highway in Western New York in the United States. It is a north–south route extending from the city of Buffalo, Erie County to the city of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, and is one of several routes directly connecting the two cities. The southern terminus of the route is at NY 5 in downtown Buffalo. NY 384's northern terminus is at the Rainbow Bridge in downtown Niagara Falls. Through its entire course in Erie County, it is known as Delaware Avenue for the street it follows in the city. In Niagara County, NY 384 follows the Niagara River and is named River Road and Buffalo Avenue.
Cherry Creek Shopping Center, also known as Cherry Creek Center, is a shopping mall about three and half miles southeast of downtown Denver, Colorado in the Cherry Creek Neighborhood. It is situated along East First Avenue on the banks of Cherry Creek. The mall features Macy's, Nordstrom, Restoration Hardware, and Neiman Marcus.
The oldest part of Denver, Colorado, now the neighborhoods of Auraria Campus, LoDo, much of downtown, and Five Points, is laid out on a grid plan that is oriented diagonal to the four cardinal directions. The rest of the city, including the eastern part of downtown, is laid out primarily on a grid oriented to the cardinal directions. In this larger grid, from east to west, there are generally 16 city blocks per mile, except between Zuni Street and Lowell Boulevard in west Denver. From north to south, there are typically eight blocks per mile, although there are many areas with more blocks per mile. Addresses follow a decimal system, with addresses advancing by one hundred at each cross street.

State Highway 83 (SH 83) is a state highway that is located along the Front Range in the U.S. State of Colorado. Spanning about 56.2 miles (90.4 km) from the SH 21 interchange in northern Colorado Springs and SH 2 in Denver, the highway follows a south–north route, paralleling Interstate 25 to the east and serving rural areas. Along with I-25, it is one of the only two routes in the Colorado State Highway System that directly connects Denver and Colorado Springs.
Lincoln Park is a neighborhood and public park close to downtown Denver, Colorado and the location of the Art District on Santa Fe. The neighborhood is one of Denver's oldest and is just to the south of the area where Denver was first settled in the 1850s. Many houses date from about 1900. The neighborhood is sometimes called "La Alma/Lincoln Park" or the West Side.
Country Club is a neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. According to the Piton Foundation, "The Country Club neighborhood is bounded by University Boulevard, Cherry Creek, Downing Street, and 8th Avenue. Two main features of the neighborhood are the Denver Country Club and Country Club Place subdivision, designed by William and Arthur Fisher, working with Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. in 1909."
Virginia Village is a neighborhood of Denver, Colorado, roughly five miles southeast of downtown. The neighborhood consists of a mixture of town homes, single-family homes, shopping plazas, and mid to high-rise apartment and office buildings. It is served by the Colorado Station on the E, F, and H RTD light rail lines. The neighborhood is bounded on the west by Colorado Boulevard; on the southwest by Interstate 25; on the south by Evans Avenue; on the east by Quebec Street; on the northeast by Cherry Creek; and on the north by Mississippi Avenue. Holly Street divides the Virginia Village neighborhood into two areas, each represented by a neighborhood association. The area west of Holly Street comprises the Virginia Village Ellis Community Association, while the area to the east of Holly comprises the Cook Park Neighborhood Association.

Located in North Denver, its boundaries are Harlan Street to the west, Clear Creek (Colorado) to the northwest, 52nd Avenue and the northern border of the Regis University campus to the north, Federal Boulevard to the east, and highway I-70 to the south. The Berkeley neighborhood is adjacent to its south end and the Chaffee Park neighborhood is adjacent to its east end. Located in the neighborhood is Regis University and the Willis Case golf course.

Its boundaries are Colfax Avenue to the north, 6th Avenue to the south, Colorado Boulevard to the west, and Holly Street to the east. Most of the neighborhood is represented by the Bellevue-Hale Neighborhood Association, a registered neighborhood organization.
