Chetak Circle is a locality, embarked by a large roundabout in the Udaipur city of Rajasthan state. [1] This is among the popular shopping area in the city. [2]

Udaipur, also known as the "City of Lakes", is a city governed by Municipal Corporation which comes under Udaipur Metropolitan Region. It is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency. It was founded in 1558 by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia clan of Rajput, when he shifted his capital from the city of Chittorgarh to Udaipur after Chittorgarh was besieged by Akbar. It remained as the capital city till 1818 when it became a British princely state, and thereafter the Mewar province became a part of Rajasthan when India gained independence in 1947.

Elsewhere it is bordered by five other Indian states: Punjab to the north; Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the northeast; Madhya Pradesh to the southeast; and Gujarat to the southwest.

General

Chetak Circle is an adjoining roundabout next to Hathipole. It is around 2 km away from the Udaipur City Bus Depot and 2.5 km from Udaipur City railway station. It is very close to several adjoining markets, namely Hathipole, Court Chouraha, Panchawati etc. This roundabout is named after the loyal horse of Maharana Pratap named Chetak. A real-life sized statue of that horse is placed at the center of this roundabout, along with several decorative fountains.

Hathipole is a locality in the Udaipur city of Rajasthan state. This is among the largest and popular market in the city.

Udaipur City Bus Depot

Udaipur City Bus Depot is a Rajasthan Roadways Bus Depot in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. It is the central bus stand for the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, and have lines running for majority of other destinations in Rajasthan and farther north and west towards Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Major cities connected by direct bus are Delhi, Mumbai, Ahemdabad, Jaipur, Agra, Mathura, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Surat, Kota etc. There is Rajasthan Roadways Deluxe, Super deluxe and AC buses as well as private travels also available from the major cities.
