Kyiv Oblast, also called Kyivshchyna, is an oblast (province) in central and northern Ukraine. It surrounds, but does not include, the city of Kyiv, which is administered as a city with special status. However, Kyiv also serves as the administrative center of the oblast. The Kyiv metropolitan area extends out from Kyiv city into parts of the oblast, which is significantly dependent on the urban economy and transportation of Kyiv.
Chernihiv Oblast, also referred to as Chernihivshchyna, is an oblast (province) in northern Ukraine. The administrative center of the oblast is the city of Chernihiv. Within the oblast are 1,511 settlements. Population: 959,315.
Bar is a town located on the Riv River in Vinnytsia Oblast, the central Ukraine. It was the administrative center of the former Bar Raion until 2020, and is part of the historic region of Podolia. The town's estimated population is 15,337.
Zhytomyr is a city in the north of the western half of Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Zhytomyr Oblast (province), as well as the administrative center of the surrounding Zhytomyr urban hromada (commune) and Zhytomyr Raion (district). Moreover Zhytomyr consists of two so-called "raions in a city": Bohunskyi Raion and Koroliovskyi Raion. Zhytomyr occupies an area of 65 square kilometres. Its population is 261,624.

Radomyshl is a historic city in Zhytomyr Raion, Zhytomyr Oblast, northern Ukraine. Prior to 2020, it was the administrative center of the former Radomyshl Raion. It is located on the left bank of the Teteriv River, a right tributary of the Dnieper. Its population is approximately 13,685. It is located within the historic region of Right-bank Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, known until 2017 as the Ukrainian Airmobile Forces, are the airborne forces of Ukraine. After the Dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, several Ukraine-based units from the Soviet Airborne Forces were absorbed into the newly-created Ukrainian Ground Forces, where they remained until 2016, when they separated to become one of five branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Air Assault Forces are in constant combat readiness and are the high-mobility branch of the military, responsible for air assaults and military parachuting operations. Before the Russo-Ukrainian War they were also the main forces sent by Ukraine to peacekeeping missions around the world. They are considered the elite of Ukraine's armed forces.

Radomysl paper mill is a paper producing factory in the town of Radomyshl. It has been in operation since the first half of the 17th century, first as a paper mill, then as a flour mill. It is now part of Historical and cultural complex Radomysl Castle.
Radomysl Castle is a historical and cultural complex created in 2007–2011 by Olha Bohomolets, a Ukrainian doctor and public activist. The castle's center is an old flour mill built in the town of Radomyshl in the late 19th century by Polish engineer Piekarski. The mill was constructed upon the ruins of a paper mill built in 1612 by the order of the archimandrite (abbot) of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Yelysei Pletenetskyi (1550–1624). During research conducted during the reconstruction of this building, it was discovered that it had been planned to be used as a fortress. Since 2011, Radomysl Castle has been part of the Council of Europe's cultural project, Via Regia. Its purpose is to promote cultural exchanges by means of tourism between European countries.
Olha Vadymivna Bohomolets is a Ukrainian physician, singer and songwriter. She is an honoured Doctor of Ukraine, the founder and chief doctor of the Institute of Dermatology and Cosmetology.
A povit, or county, was a type of historical territorial-administrative and judicial unit in Ukraine, administered by a starosta. Following annexation of Ukraine by the Russian Empire in the 17th and 18th centuries as well as through the partitions of Poland, the Russian administration introduced the system of uezds which locally were still referred in old manner as povits. After Ukraine regained its independence in 1918, povits remained until the introduction of raions in 1923.
The National Defence University of Ukraine (NDUU) is a university of higher military education in Ukraine, located in its capital city of Kyiv. Subordinated to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the University trains officers specializing in national defence.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are the military forces of Ukraine. All military and security forces, including the Armed Forces, are under the command of the President of Ukraine and subject to oversight by a permanent Verkhovna Rada parliamentary commission. They trace their lineage to 1917, while the modern armed forces were formed after Ukrainian independence in 1991.
Piano burning is the act of setting on fire an acoustic piano, most commonly an upright, as either a ceremony or a form of performance art. Although piano burning ceremonies are now popular in the Royal Air Force, Royal Canadian Air Force and the United States Air Force, there is little or no evidence to suggest that descriptions of its origin have any historical authenticity. According to one version of its origin, pianos were set alight by RAF pilots to avoid piano lessons aimed at improving their dexterity and general level of culture. Another version is that piano burning began in World War II in remembrance of fallen RAF pilots. Several contemporary musicians, including Annea Lockwood, Yōsuke Yamashita, and Diego Stocco, have composed for and performed on pianos which have been deliberately set alight. A burning piano was also the centrepiece of Douglas Gordon's 2012 video installation, The End of Civilisation.
Oleksandr Yakovych Oksanchenko, nicknamed the Grey Wolf, was a Ukrainian fighter pilot and Myrhorod city councilor. He was a colonel in the Ukrainian Air Force who won awards in several air shows before retiring in 2018. In 2022, he returned to serve in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and was killed by a Russian S-400 missile during the Battle of Kyiv. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Gold Star.
