The Polish Institutes is a network of establishments reporting to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. As of 2020 [update] there are 25 of them. Their mission is described as "creating a positive image of Poland abroad" by promoting Polish culture, history, science, language and national heritage. [1] Other tasks include supporting cultural exchange, in particular, within the framework of the European Union National Institutes for Culture, as well as implementation of various international cultural programmes. [1]
Polish institutes cooperate with local institutions and NGOs in organizing various events. [1]
The names may slightly differ in some countries. For example, in London and New York, the institute is called "Polish Cultural Institute".

Poniec is a town in western Poland, situated in the southern part of the Greater Poland Voivodeship. The town has 2912 inhabitants. It is the capital of Gmina Poniec (commune) in Gostyń County.

Polish culture in the interwar period witnessed the rebirth of Polish sovereignty. The nationhood along with its cultural heritage was no longer suppressed by the three foreign partitioners. The purpose of the museum is to present the most important events in Polish history, with a particular emphasis on Polish traditions of freedom. Since September 2023, the new museum building has been located in the Warsaw Citadel.
The looting of Polish cultural artifacts and industrial infrastructure during World War II was carried out by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union simultaneously after the invasion of Poland of 1939. Joanna Krystyna Kozińska-Frybes is a Polish civil servant and diplomat, since 2023 serving as an ambassador to Cuba. Prior to that, she was an Ambassador to Mexico (1993–1999) and the Consul-General in Barcelona (2002–2006), Los Angeles (2009–2013), and Lyon (2016–2020).
