Christopher Joseph Lowman [2] is an American military official who had served as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment. He previously served as the acting Under Secretary of the Army from 2021 to 2022.
Lowman was born in Hanau,Germany,where his father was a civilian employee of the United States Army. Raised primarily in Germany,he later attended Thomas A. Edison High School in Alexandria,Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and management from Monmouth University,a Master of Business Administration from the Leon Hess Business School at Monmouth,and a Master of Science in national security strategy from National War College. Lowman enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1984 and went to recruit training at Parris Island,South Carolina. He then served at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma,Arizona. After leaving the Marine Corps,he joined the Army as a civilian in 1989,where he was first assigned to Fort Monmouth. [4]
From 2003 to 2006,Lowman served as chief of the United States Army Sustainment Operations Division. He also served as director of operational sustainment for the Combined Security Transition Command –Afghanistan. Lowman has served in various civilian roles in the United States Army,including deputy director of logistics operations and readiness,director of maintenance policy and programs,deputy assistant secretary of the Army,assistant deputy chief of staff,and acting under secretary. The Defense Media Activity (DMA) is a United States Department of Defense (DoD) field activity. It provides a range of media and services to that aim to "inform,educate,and entertain Department of Defense audiences around the world." The Defense Media Activity is located on Fort Meade,Maryland. DoD field activities are established as DoD components by law,by the President,or by the Secretary of Defense to provide for the performance,on a DoD-wide basis,of a supply or service activity that is common to more than one Military Department when it is determined to be more effective,economical,or efficient to do so. DMA operates as a separate DoD Component under the authority,direction and control of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs.

Heckl previously served as the commander of I Marine Expeditionary Force. He previously served as commander of the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.
A deputy chief of space operations is a senior leadership position in the United States Space Force. There are four deputy chiefs of space operations in the Space Force,staffed either by a lieutenant general or a senior executive service personnel. They are the service's equivalent to the Army's and Air Force's deputy chiefs of staff,the Marine Corps' deputy commandants,and the Navy's deputy chiefs of naval operations. They are part of the Office of the Chief of Space Operations and hold office at the Pentagon.
