Alexia is an Italian singer. Before recording in Italian in the 2000s, she made records in English in the 1990s. Many of those were international hits. Before her solo career she was the vocalist of Ice Mc.
Hits - also commonly known as The Hits Album - is a long-running compilation album series containing contemporary chart music. It originally ran in the United Kingdom and parts of Europe for over twenty years from 1984 until 2006. It was compiled as a joint venture, variously between the compilation arms of the Sony Music, RCA/BMG, and Warner Music groups to rival the Now That's What I Call Music series that had launched a year earlier in 1983, compiled by rival companies EMI and Virgin. Initially, the Hits brand was arguably as popular as its main rival and all of the first eight volumes achieved at least a platinum BPI award, with several of the very early albums going multi-platinum.
Maria Ilva Biolcati, OMRI, known as Milva, was an Italian singer, stage and film actress, and television personality. She was also known as La Rossa, due to the characteristic colour of her hair, and additionally as La Pantera di Goro, which stemmed from the Italian press having nicknamed the three most popular Italian female singers of the 1960s, combining the names of animals and the singers' birth places. The colour also characterised her leftist political beliefs, claimed in numerous statements. Popular in Italy and abroad, she performed on musical and theatrical stages the world over, and received popular acclaim in her native Italy, and particularly in Germany, where she often participated in musical events and televised musical programmes. She released numerous albums in France, Japan, Korea, Greece, Spain, and South America.

Fan Club is the debut studio album by Italian singer Alexia released in 1997. The album featured mostly eurodance tracks, as was producer Robyx's speciality. It was released in 1997 after the release of Alexia's fourth single "Uh La La La", yet strangely no further singles were released from the album with the exception of two country specific releases of "Virtual Reality" and "Hold On". A version of "Virtual Reality" had already been released in Italy credited to E.Y.E. featuring Alexia.

Il cuore a modo mio is the sixth studio album by Alexia released in Italy on 7 March 2003. This would be the third album in which Alexia had a hand in production. The lead single from the album "Per dire di no" won the Sanremo Music Festival 2003 and reached the Italian Top 10. The second single "Egoista" also reached the Italian charts.
Mad for Music is the fourth studio album by Italian singer Alexia released in 2001, and would be her final studio album to be sung exclusively in English. It was her first album that she had a hand co-producing and the first released since her split with DWA and Robyx. Some of the tracks would be recorded in Italian and included on her 2002 album Alexia.

Da grande is the third compilation album and second greatest hits release by Italian singer Alexia released in 2005. The album spans all her Italian language singles from 2002 to 2005. Two new tracks were included on the album; "Da grande" and "Mai dire mai" with the former being released as a single and the latter as a radio promo single.
Ale is the eighth studio album by Italian singer Alexia released in 2008. The album is the first release on the Edel label after Alexia left Sony Music in 2007 and was the first studio album Alexia had released since 2004's Gli occhi grandi della luna. The album was released in Italy on CD on 27 June 2008 and for digital download the next day. A version which included the song Biancaneve was released in Europe on 24 July 2009.
Gli Occhi Grandi Della Luna is the seventh studio album by Alexia released in Italy on 5 July 2004. This would be the fourth album in which Alexia had a hand in production. The lead single from the album "Come tu mi vuoi" was written and produced by Sam Watters and Louis Biancaniello who had written for Anastacia, with the original English version being a bonus track. The second song to be lifted as a Radio promotional release was "Una donna sola". Both tracks would feature on Alexia's Italian greatest hits CD Da grande along with "Funky al cuore" and "Quello che sento".
Le più belle di… Alexia is the first budget compilation album of the singer Alexia, released in 2006 shortly before she left Sony. It is not regarded as an official Alexia hits compilation as it contains both singles and album tracks. Notably, nearly all of Alexia's physically released Italian singles except "Keep On Movin'", "Money Honey", "Summerlovers" and "Come tu mi vuoi " are included with the album spanning six of Alexia's seven studio albums and two compilation albums with all the new tracks featured on The Hits and Da grande featured. It was released on 22 June 2006, a few weeks before Alexia's final single with Sony "Du Du Du" which is not included on this release.
