Alessia Aquilani, known professionally as Alexia, is an Italian singer. Before recording in Italian in the 2000s, she made records in English in the 1990s. Many of those were international hits. Before her solo career, she was the vocalist of Ice MC.
"La solitudine" is a song by Italian pop singer Laura Pausini, released as her debut single by CGD in February 1993. Pausini sang it for the first time on 23 February 1993, during the 43rd Sanremo Music Festival. On 27 February 1993, the song was announced the winner of the competition in the newcomers' section, receiving 7,464 votes. The single reached number five on the Italian Musica e dischi Singles Chart and later became an Italian standard. A few months after its original release, "La solitudine" was included in Pausini's self-titled first album, released on 18 May 1993.
"Quando quando quando" is an Italian pop song from 1962, in the bossa nova style, with music written by Tony Renis and lyrics by Alberto Testa. The song, originally recorded in two different versions by Tony Renis and Emilio Pericoli, competed in the Sanremo Music Festival in 1962, where it placed fourth, and later became a commercial success in Italy, topping the Musica e dischi singles chart. American entertainer Pat Boone, who recorded the song in 1962, sang the English lyrics written by Ervin Drake.

Having suffered a decline in popularity in the following decade, she experienced a career revival in mid-late 1990s and reinstated her position on Italian music charts. Her most popular songs include "La bambola" (1968), "Pazza idea" (1973), "Pensiero stupendo" (1978), and "...E dimmi che non vuoi morire" (1997). She scored fourteen top 10 albums and twelve top 10 singles in her native Italy. Pravo participated at the Sanremo Music Festival ten times, most recently in 2019, and has won three critics' awards. She also performed twelve times at the Festivalbar.

The lead single from the album "Come tu mi vuoi" was written and produced by Sam Watters, Simone Hines, and Louis Biancaniello who had written for Anastacia, with the original English version being a bonus track. The second song to be lifted as a Radio promotional release was "Una donna sola". Both tracks would feature on Alexia's Italian greatest hits CD Da grande along with "Funky al cuore" and "Quello che sento".
