The Colosseum Tournament (COLOSSEUM) is a kickboxing, mixed martial arts (MMA) and boxing promotion company based in Romania, which is owned by Gabriel Georgescu. It is one of the largest kickboxing promotions in the country, and takes its name from colosseum . [1] [2] [3] [4]
It promoted the first sanctioned professional event in Ploiești, Romania on November 26, 2016, and since its inception can be seen on Digi Sport and on FightBox in over 60 countries. [5] [2] On 30 June 2023, Colosseum Tournament was relaunched on FITE TV after 2017-2019. [6]
On April 15, 2021, it was announced that Colosseum Tournament and Netherlands-based Glorious Fight Events entered a partnership. The deal encompasses commitment to promote their fighters. [7] Colosseum Tournament also has a partnership with Prometheus Fighting Promotion. [8]
Each event contains several fights. Traditionally, every event starts off with an opening fight followed by other fights, with the last fight being known as the main event.
Prometheus FP is a brand of the Colosseum Tournament that was introduced on July 22, 2021. The brand serves as a developmental territory, featuring rookies from Romania competing to become members of Colosseum Tournament's roster. FightBox and Digi Sport are the main broadcasters of Prometheus FP. [13]
Daniel Florin Ghiță is a Romanian politician and former kickboxer, who serves as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania since December 2020.
Bogdan Cristian Stoica is a Romanian professional kickboxer and boxer, and former wushu practitioner. Stoica is also one-time SUPERKOMBAT Cruiserweight Champion, one-time Enfusion Light Heavyweight and two-time wushu national champion. He was also ranked as a top-10 middleweight in the world for several years by LiverKick.com, CombatPress.com and GloryKickboxing.com. He has competed for GLORY, ONE Championship, SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship, Enfusion, Wu Lin Feng and Glory of Heroes.
Andrei Cătălin Stoica is a Romanian kickboxer competing in the Light Heavyweight division. He was the first to hold the SUPERKOMBAT Super Cruiserweight Championship and held the SUPERKOMBAT record for most consecutive title defenses.
Sebastian Cosmin Cozmâncă is a Romanian Muay Thai kickboxer who competes in the heavyweight division. He is currently signed to the Dynamite Fighting Show. Eduard Gafencu is a Romanian kickboxer and former boxer. He currently competes in the Welterweight division for Glory. Gafencu is the first fighter to become a two-division Colosseum Tournament champion, holding titles in two weight classes simultaneously. He has also competed for Dynamite Fighting Show (DFS).
The 2020 season was the 18th season of competitive kickboxing in Romania. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania, the promotions went on hiatus. They resumed holding events after the middle of the year.

He is still undefeated nationally in boxing.
