Comp is a hamlet in the Tonbridge and Malling district, in the English county of Kent.
In 1240, the town was known as Camp de Wrotha (an abbreviation of Wrotham). It then was Caumpes in 1251 and Compe in 1461. [1]
The name is derived from the Old English word 'Camp' meaning campus or field. [1]
It is near the town of Sevenoaks, the villages of Borough Green, Platt, Wrotham Heath and the hamlet of Crouch. It is near the Mereworth Woods, and Valley Wood and on Comp Lane (a minor road).
For transport there is the Borough Green & Wrotham railway station, and the A25, the A20, the A227 road and the M26, M20 and M25 motorways nearby.
It has a garden called Great Comp.
Bethnal Green is an area in the East End of London 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Charing Cross. The area emerged from the small settlement which developed around the Green, much of which survives today as Bethnal Green Gardens, beside Cambridge Heath Road. By the 16th century the term applied to a wider rural area, the Hamlet of Bethnal Green, which subsequently became a Parish, then a Metropolitan Borough before merging with neighbouring areas to become the north-western part of the new London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Little Mongeham is a small hamlet near Dover in Kent, southeast England. The main buildings are Little Mongeham House and Manor Farm. The population of the hamlet is included in the civil parish of Sutton. Little Mongeham was until the early twentieth century a parish in its own right, including Studdal and Maidensole, and with its own rector, though the church has long since been in ruins, the foundations can still be found just to the southwest of the double bend in Willow Road through the village. The scholar Richard James held the living of Little Mongeham from 1629.
The River Bourne rises in the parish of Ightham, Kent and flows in a generally south easterly direction through the parishes of Borough Green, Platt, Plaxtol, West Peckham, Hadlow, and East Peckham where it joins the River Medway. In the 18th century the river was known as the Busty or Buster, the Shode or Sheet, but is not known by these names nowadays. A bourne is a type of stream, while shode means a branch of a river.
