"Cool Down" is a song by Filipino-Australian singer-actor James Reid, from his debut studio album Palm Dreams (2017). The song was released on June 16, 2017 as the album's lead single by Viva Records. [1]

Background

In an interview of Inside Showbiz, Reid revealed that he had been wanting to write and produce songs based on his own taste and experiences. He also spent many days in the studio, perfecting the songs in his upcoming album, Palm Dreams. [3]

Chart performance

"Cool Down" was a massive success, it peaked #1 on Pinoy MYX Countdown for 14 weeks. It also peaked #1 on MYX Hit Chart for 11 weeks. Marked as "Cool Down", is the longest stayed at number 1 spot on Pinoy MYX Countdown.

"Cool Down" also peaked on top spot on Magic 89.9's Magic Pop 30 on July 22, 2017, [4] as well on 99.5 Play FM's Playlist on August 11, 2017. [5]

Music video

The music video was released on 16 June 2017, the same day of release as Spotify Philippines and iTunes. The video premiered 6:00 PM in a cable channel MYX. [1] After the release of the video, it was uploaded on VIVA's channel in YouTube. [6] On July 31, 2017, the official music video for "Cool Down" reached 1 million views on YouTube.

It was filmed by Deej Fabian, a photographer and videographer, in Coco Plantation in Baler, Aurora around June 2017. The video's visuals has been described as "irresistible and inviting". [2]

I Feel Good is the third studio album of Filipino actor and singer Daniel Padilla under Star Records, released on June 13, 2015 in the Philippines. This album consists of thirteen songs including covers such as James Brown's "I Got You " in which the album was named, Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely", James Taylor's "How Sweet It Is " and Andy Williams' "Moon River". Also included on the album are Padilla's versions of "Knocks Me Off My Feet", "For Once in My Life", "Morning Girl" and "Handog". This album also features his own version of "Ikaw ang Aking Mahal", "Pangako Sa 'Yo", the theme song to his teleserye with Kathryn Bernardo, and "Simpleng Tulad Mo".

Kyle John Paradillo Echarri is a Filipino singer and actor. He was born in Orange County, California and started singing at the age of one. His family moved to Cebu City, Philippines in June 2014. Echarri rose to prominence and made his first television appearance at the age of eleven when he joined season 2 of The Voice Kids, where he landed Top 6 under Sarah Geronimo's Team. "Dahil Sa'yo" is a single by Filipino singer Iñigo Pascual from his self-titled debut album. The song was released by Star Music on October 7, 2016 and was heard first on MOR 101.9 For Life!. Its lyric video was uploaded on YouTube on the same date the song was released while its official music video premiered on myx on December 3, 2016 same date when it was uploaded on YouTube.

Kaibigan Mo is the third single from Sarah Geronimo's platinum album The Great Unknown, released on February 3, 2017. It was recorded the by Geronimo and Yeng Constantino, the latter wrote the song. Careless, formerly known as Careless Music Manila, is a record label in the Philippines started by singer and actor James Reid with former Pinoy Big Brother housemate, Bret Jackson (KINGwAw). The label was founded in 2017, with Reid's Palm Dreams as its debut release. The label was initially partnered with Reid's former label, Viva Records, but went independent in 2019. Its current roster of artists include Reid, Jackson, Nadine Lustre, Curtismith, Filipino-Ghanaian rapper Massiah, and trap artist Astro Kidd.
