Coquitlam City Hall is the home of Coquitlam City Council in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. It is located at the intersection of Pinetree Way and Guildford Way in the Town Centre neighbourhood.
City Hall is part of a two-building complex built in the campus, the other being Public Safety Building which houses the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) detachment.
Both buildings were designed by Grant & Sinclair Architects Limited and completed in 2001.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, commonly known in English-speaking areas as the Mounties, is the federal and national police service of Canada. As police services are the constitutional responsibility of provinces and territories, the RCMP's primary responsibility is the enforcement of federal criminal law, and sworn members of the RCMP have jurisdiction as a peace officer in all provinces and territories of Canada. However, the force also provides police services under contract to eight of Canada's provinces, all three of Canada's territories, more than 150 municipalities, and 600 Indigenous communities. In addition to enforcing federal legislation and delivering local police services under contract, the RCMP is responsible for border integrity; overseeing Canadian peacekeeping missions involving police; managing the Canadian Firearms Program, which licenses and registers firearms and their owners; and the Canadian Police College, which provides police training to Canadian and international police forces. The force has faced criticism for its broad mandate, and since the early 2020s, several governments, politicians, and scholars have recommended terminating the RCMP's contract policing program. Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino was mandated to conduct a review of RCMP contract policing when he took office in 2022.
Coquitlam is a city in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada. Coquitlam is situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Kwikwetlem First Nation (kʷikʷəƛ̓əm). Mainly suburban, Coquitlam is the sixth-largest city in the province, with a population of 148,625 in 2021, and one of the 21 municipalities comprising Metro Vancouver. The mayor is Richard Stewart. Simon Fraser explored the region in 1808, encountering the Indigenous peoples. Europeans started settling in the 1860s. Fraser Mills, a state-of-the-art lumber mill on the north bank of the Fraser River was constructed in 1889, and by 1908 there were 20 houses, a store, post office, hospital, office block, barber shop, pool hall, and a Sikh temple. Following World War II, substantial population growth was experienced in Coquitlam and Metro Vancouver, which continues to this day.

The 37,280 square metre complex is a prominent example of postmodern architecture in Canada, finished in 1987 by Jones and Kirkland. It stands at 92 metres or 302 feet. The design was influenced by farmsteads which once occupied much of Mississauga as well as historical features of city centres. The building, for instance, includes a prominent clock tower. It was chosen as the winner of a design competition that included 246 submissions. Mississauga Civic Centre is located in the City Centre near Square One Shopping Centre and is home to the Mississauga City Council. The civic center building is considered one of the most iconic and recognizable buildings and cultural icons of Mississauga city.

The design team was headed by Thom Weeks of Architectura, and the contract was completed by Proscenium Architecture.
The City Centre Aquatic Complex is an indoor aquatic centre featuring an Olympic size swimming pool in the Town Centre area of Coquitlam, British Columbia. The building was designed by Vic Davies Architect Ltd., built at a cost of $8.2 million, and opened in March 1994. The interior is orange with rope railings around the wave pool. The pools use ozone for secondary water purification.
Town Centre Park is a park in central Coquitlam, British Columbia, just north of the Coquitlam Centre shopping mall. The park is surrounded by Coquitlam's city hall, main police station, main fire hall, City Centre Aquatic Complex, and the David Lam campus of Douglas College, Pinetree Secondary School, as well as many houses and apartments.
Haney, British Columbia is the name of the downtown core of the city of Maple Ridge, British Columbia. The name derived originally from Thomas Haney, the namesake of Port Haney, the neighbourhood adjoining today's downtown along the Fraser River immediately south, which is today includes a station on the West Coast Express and was formerly a steamboat port. Port Haney is a designated heritage district in Maple Ridge and includes buildings moved to the neighbourhood from other parts of the municipality that otherwise might have been demolished.
Sapperton is a neighbourhood of the City of New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, located in the northeastern end of that city and up to its boundaries with the Coquitlam and Burnaby. Located on the slope above the Fraser River and focused on Brunette Avenue and Columbia Street, and northeast of the former British Columbia Penitentiary, the neighbourhood was the location of the barracks and other housing for the Royal Engineers, Columbia Detachment, who were known as "sappers", hence the name. The neighbourhood of Sapperton is filled with plenty of shops for many different needs. The shops include a place for your bicycle needs, a bar to get a drink, restaurants and karate places as well. Also located in Sapperton is the Royal Columbian Hospital. The neighbourhood of Sapperton also has plenty of outdoor space. It has multiple parks such as Sapperton and Hume Parks where anybody can spend their time on a nice day. Hume Park also contains a swimming pool and has a forested area where people can head down to enjoy the Brunette River. Sapperton is also located close to two Skytrain stations. These stations are Sapperton station, which is close to the hospital, and Braid station, which is just at the bottom of Sapperton. Furthermore, Sapperton is home to New Westminster's newest brewery which is named, Another Beer Co.
