Corrente is an Italian car sharing service provided by Trasporto Passeggeri Emilia-Romagna. As of May 2019, Corrente is active in Bologna, Casalecchio di Reno and Ferrara.

It is situated 44 kilometres northeast of Bologna, on the Po di Volano, a branch channel of the main stream of the Po River, located 5 km north. The town has broad streets and numerous palaces dating from the Renaissance, when it hosted the court of the House of Este. For its beauty and cultural importance, it has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

The system offers exclusively Renault Zoe electric vehicles with one-way point-to-point rentals charged by the minute. Cars can be rented wherever parked via a smartphone app. [1]

Renault Zoe is a five-door supermini electric car produced by the French manufacturer Renault. Earlier Zoes have a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers a range between 210 km (130 mi) and 240 km (150 mi) under the NEDC cycle. In September 2016, Renault announced the introduction of an optional 41 kWh lithium-ion battery, increasing the range to 400 km (250 mi) under the NEDC cycle.

As of April 2019, when the service was not yet available in Ferrara, the scheme had 10,000 subscribers and 3,500 users pending registration. [2]

Corrente cars can be freely parked in any available parking lots. Moreover, in Bologna, designated parking areas have been established by the municipality, where only Corrente vehicles can be parked. [3]
