Crazy Times is a 2022 studio album by hard rock supergroup Sammy Hagar and the Circle. The album follows 2021's covers album Lockdown 2020 and continues themes related to the confusion and historic nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, [3] as well as critiques of corporate greed and reflections on aging. [4]

Reception

Editors of AllMusic Guide rated this release four out of five stars, with critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine writing that "the party tunes play off the reflective numbers, creating something that hints at emotional depth". [5] Writing for Ultimate Classic Rock , Micahel Gallucci stated that "results vary" in the quality on the album and that producer Dave Cobb's "job here is to reign in Hagar's most base instincts, and for the most part, he succeeds". [6]

Jason John Bonham (born 15 July 1966) is an English drummer. He is the son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. Since his father's death in September 1980, he has performed with the surviving three members of Led Zeppelin on several occasions, including the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert at O2 arena in London in December 2007. He has also done extensive work as a session musician, led the group Bonham in the 1980s and '90s, and is a member of the supergroups Black Country Communion and Sammy Hagar and the Circle.

The album was named after Eddie Van Halen's home studio, 5150, in turn named after a California law enforcement term for a mentally disturbed person. The album hit number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, surpassing the band's previous album, 1984, which had peaked at number 2 behind Michael Jackson's Thriller album, on which Eddie made a guest appearance.

He enjoyed further commercial success when he replaced David Lee Roth as the lead vocalist of Van Halen in 1985, but left in 1996. He returned to the band from 2003 to 2005. In 2007, Hagar was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Van Halen. His musical style primarily consists of hard rock and heavy metal.
