Chay Crista Kerio Cullen, MBE (born 20 August 1985) is an Olympic Gold Medal-winning English field hockey player.
Cullen made her senior international debut for England in 2003. She was part of the Great Britain squad which won Bronze at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, as well as the England squad that won Bronze at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. [1]
She retired from international hockey after the 2012 Summer Olympics, aged 27. She earned 171 international caps. [2] [3] She came out of retirement in 2015 to join the Great Britain team for the 2016 Rio Olympics and played an instrumental part in a team that went unbeaten throughout the tournament, eventually winning an Olympic gold medal.
She has played club hockey for Leicester, based at the Stoneygate Preparatory School in Great Glen. [4] [5]
She was named in the International Hockey federation World Star XI following the 2006 Hockey World Cup, as well as 2006 Great Britain Hockey Athlete of the Year and Hockey Writers' 2005 and 2006 UK Hockey Player of the Year. [6]
In 2006 and 2008 she was nominated for the FIH Player of the Year Awards (Young Woman) Award and in 2012 she was nominated for the FIH Hockey Player of the Year (Woman) Award.
Cullen was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to hockey. [7]
Cullen attended the independent Oakham School in Rutland. She then gained a BA in Business Studies (Strategy & Entrepreneurship) at the Nottingham Business School, gaining a 2.1 in 2006. She works as a Business Development Consultant for The Kennel Club and as Performance Director for Edwin Doran Sports Tours (edwindoran.com). Her father was a golfer and her mother played professional squash. She first played hockey aged nine, when living in Kenya until she was twelve. Her parents still live in Kenya where they run the Hemingways hotel near Watamu. Her brother Gray Cullen played junior rugby for England and in 2009 debuted for the Kenya national rugby union team. [8] Following her success at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic, Games, Crista Cullen has founded Tofauti which is a charity aimed at making sustained conservational change in Africa. [9] [10] In 2020, Cullen's Tofauti Foundation became the charity partner of the Tofauti Everyone Active junior women and men's cycling team. [11] [12]
Kelly Ann Aston is a Welsh badminton player. She has represented Wales and Great Britain in regional and international competitions, including the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games, winning gold in the 1998 Commonwealth Games, and beat world number one Ye Zhaoying of China in the 1999 IBF World Championships.

Stephen Alexander Martin is a former field hockey player from Northern Ireland who represented both Ireland and Great Britain at international level. Between 1980 and 1991 he made 135 senior appearances for Ireland. He also captained the Ireland team. He represented Ireland at the 1983, 1987 and 1991 EuroHockey Nations Championships and at the 1990 Men's Hockey World Cup. Between 1983 and 1992 Martin also made 94 senior appearances for Great Britain. He represented Great Britain at the 1984, 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 1984 and a gold medal in 1988. In 1994 he was awarded an. In 2001 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Ulster University. In 2011 Martin was inducted into the Irish Hockey Association Hall of Fame. After retiring as a field hockey player, Martin became a sports administrator. Between 1998 and 2005 he served as Deputy Chief Executive of the British Olympic Association and between 2006 and 2018 he served as Chief Executive of the Olympic Council of Ireland. He now runs his own leadership and management consultancy business and is an associate consultant at Lane 4. He is currently Chair Commonwealth Games NI.
Barry John Middleton is regarded as one of the greatest British field hockey players in history. He played as a midfielder and forward for England and Great Britain and is the most capped British hockey player in history and captained his country for many years.

Rani Rampal is an Indian field hockey player and coach. At the age of 15, she was the youngest player in the national team which participated in the 2010 World Cup. She has completed her schooling but was not able to get the graduate degree due to practice sessions and matches which were lined up. She plays forward on her team. She has played 212 international matches and scored 134 goals. She is currently the Captain for Indian Women's Hockey Team. She is also well known as a striker who often doubles up as mid-fielder. She has a great fascination with CWG. In 2020, the Government of India honoured her with the Padma Shri.
Madonna Blyth is an Australian field hockey player who competed in the 2008, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. She also plays for and captains the Queensland Scorchers in the Australian Hockey League. Blyth has been the Captain of the Hockeyroos since 2009. Her debut game for Australia was in Argentina, as an 18-year-old at the 2004 Champions Trophy. She started playing hockey when she was 5, and joined the representative scene at 15, winning gold with her team at the 2001 Australian Youth Olympic Festival.
