Crompton Cricket Club are an English cricket team, based in Shaw and Crompton, Greater Manchester, England. [1] The club plays its home games at Glebe Street and competed in the Central Lancashire League until 2017. [2]
From start of the 2018 season Crompton moved to the Lancashire League. [3]

JohnCrompton was an English professional footballer. Born in Hulme, Manchester, Lancashire, he was a goalkeeper for Manchester United between 1944 and 1956. He was part of the team that won the FA Cup in 1948 and the league title in 1952. During the Second World War, he played as a guest for Stockport County.

Shaw and Crompton is a civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England, which contains the town of Shaw and lies on the River Beal at the foothills of the South Pennines. It is located 2.3 miles (3.7 km) north of Oldham, 3.6 miles (5.8 km) south-east of Rochdale and 8.7 miles (14 km) north-east of Manchester.

He played representative level rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Neath RFC, as a prop, i.e. number 1 or 3, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain and Wales, and at club level for Widnes, Wigan, Warrington and Rochdale Hornets, as a prop, or second-row, i.e. number 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.
Dawn Mill, Shaw was a cotton spinning mill in Shaw and Crompton, Oldham, Greater Manchester. It was built on the site of Shaw Mill at the "dawn" of the 20th century. Dawn Mill was equipped with mule weft spindles in 1950. It was powered by Engines named Venus and Mars, 1800 hp twin tandem compound engine by George Saxon of Manchester. It was taken over by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation in the 1930s and passed to Courtaulds in 1964. It was sold again and used by distribution company DTS Logistics for storing and distributing clothing. It was demolished in 2006 to make way for an Asda supermarket.
Darwen Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League based at the Ainsworth Lord Estates Ground in Darwen, Lancashire. They are also known as 'The Towers'.
Sefton Park Cricket Club in south Liverpool, England was formed as Sefton Cricket Club in 1860. As well as being used for Sefton's senior and junior teams' home fixtures, the club hosts Lancashire ladies and junior sides, Liverpool City junior representative games, University of Liverpool cricket and Last Man Stands.
