Oldham Cricket Club is a cricket team based at The Pollards in the Watersheddings area of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England.
Ashton Cricket Club is an English cricket team, based in the town of Ashton-under-Lyne in Tameside, Greater Manchester. The club plays its home games at Rayner Lane, and competed in the Central Lancashire Cricket League [CLL] from 1928 to 2015 doing the quadruple of winning the 1st and 2nd XI Championships, Wood Cup and Aggregate Cup in 1940. The club last won the prestigious Wood Cup in 1964 and 1965. From 2015 - 2017 the CLL amalgamated with the Saddleworth League to form the short-lived Pennine Cricket League. From 2018 the club will play in the Greater Manchester Cricket League [GMCL].
Crompton Cricket Club are an English cricket team, based in Shaw and Crompton, Greater Manchester, England. The club plays its home games at Glebe Street and competed in the Central Lancashire League until 2017.
Heywood Cricket Club, based in Heywood, Greater Manchester, are an English cricket team that plays in the Central Lancashire Cricket League. They were founded around 1879. Currently the team also carries the name of Biwater's, a locally based company who sponsor the team.
The Stand Cricket Club was established in 1853. The club's ground is situated between Hamilton Road and Higher Lane in Whitefield, Bury, Greater Manchester. The club were founder members of the North Western Cricket league, which became the Lancashire and Cheshire Cricket League. In 1992 they became a member of the Central Lancashire League. Between 1993 and 2004, Stand CC had limited success, but in 2005, they moved into the Lancashire County League (LCL) for the 2005 season. Since joining the LCL the club have won the Walkden Cup (2008), the Hulme Trophy (2009), the 2nd XI Last Six Competition (2010) and the 3rd XI League, and the Bryden Trophy. The Stand Cricket Club were founder members of the Greater Manchester Cricket League in 2016, winning the Second Division as champions and the First Division Title in 2018.

Lancashire's home is Old Trafford Cricket Ground, although the team also play matches at other grounds around the county. Lancashire was a founder member of the County Championship in 1890 and have won the competition nine times. Lancashire have won 26 major honours in its history. The club's limited overs team is called Lancashire Lightning.

Close to the source of the River Irk, near undulating land at the foothills of the South Pennines, it is 1.7 miles (2.7 km) northwest of Oldham, 3.2 miles (5.1 km) southeast of Rochdale and 7.6 miles (12.2 km) northeast of Manchester.

Daisy Hill F.C. are an English football club founded in 1894 and located in Daisy Hill, Westhoughton, Greater Manchester. They play their home games at New Sirs, St James Street in Westhoughton, which has a capacity of 2000. They currently play in the North West Counties League Division One North and are full members of the Lancashire County Football Association. In 1989 they changed name to Westhoughton Town before reverting to Daisy Hill in 1994. They are nicknamed "The Daisies" or "The Cutters".

The Bolton Cricket League is a cricket league comprising fifteen teams in and around Bolton, Greater Manchester in North West England. The league runs competitions at First Team, Second Team, Under 18, Under 15, Under 13 and Under 11 levels. It expanded after the 2015 season, with nine clubs joining from in and around the area. However, the league lost two established clubs in the process, due to the formation of the Greater Manchester Cricket League in 2016.
Bowdon Cricket Club is an amateur cricket club based at South Downs Road, Bowdon in Greater Manchester. The club's first team plays in the Cheshire County Cricket League, which is one of the ECB Premier Leagues that are the highest level of the amateur, recreational sport in England and Wales. Royton Ring Mill was a cotton mill in Royton, Greater Manchester, England. It was built in 1908 and extended in 1912. It was taken over by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation in 1935 and passed to Courtaulds in 1964. Production finished in 1966. It was extended again in 1969 and used for other purposes. It has now been demolished, the street has been renamed and houses have replaced it.
Pieter Jacobus Malan is a South African professional cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and bowls right-arm medium-fast. Since 2007, he has played first-class cricket for both Northerns and Titans. He made his international debut for the South Africa cricket team in January 2020.

Royton is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England and it is unparished. It contains five listed buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England. Of these, one is listed at Grade II*, the middle grade, and the others are at Grade II, the lowest grade. The area was rural until the coming of the Industrial Revolution when the town grew due to the cotton industry. Th listed buildings consist of a house, a farm building, two churches and a cotton mill.
