Cryptanaerobacter is a genus in the phylum Bacillota (Bacteria). [1]
The name Cryptanaerobacter derives from: Greek cryptos (κρυπτός), hidden; an (ἄν), not; aer, aeros (ἀήρ, ἀέρος), air; Neo-Latin, a rod bacter , nominally meaning "a rod", but in effect meaning a bacterium, rod; giving Cryptanaerobacter, an anaerobic rod that is hidden within the consortium. [2]
The genus contains a single species, [2] Cryptanaerobacter phenolicus (Juteau et al. 2005, (ype species of the genus). The specific name is from Latin phenol, phenol; icus, suffix used in adjectives with the sense of belonging to; giving phenolicus, belonging to phenol.) [3]

Deefgea is a genus of bacteria in the phylum Pseudomonadota. Deefgea are described as Gram-negative, rod-shaped, facultative anaerobes which generally occur singly. Deefgea are motile, either by a single flagellum or two polar flagella. They are both catalase and oxidase positive.

Croceitalea is a genus in the phylum Bacteroidota (Bacteria).
Croceibacter is a genus in the phylum Bacteroidota (Bacteria).
Mahella is a genus in the phylum Bacillota (Bacteria). The name Mahella derives from: Neo-Latin feminine gender dim. noun Mahella, named in honour of the American microbiologist Professor R.A. Mah, for his important contribution to the taxonomy of anaerobes.
Mameliella is a genus in the phylum Pseudomonadota (Bacteria). The name Mameliella derives from: Neo-Latin feminine gender dim. noun Mameliella, arbitrary name derived from the acronym MMEL, marine microbial ecology laboratory.
