Ernesto Shaw (born January 8, 1975), better known as DJ Clue, [1] is an American disc jockey (DJ), record producer, radio personality and record executive.
DJ Clue was born in Queens, New York City to Panamanian and Jamaican immigrants. [2]
DJ Clue has his own program, titled "Desert Storm Radio", every Monday to Friday 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, on Power 105.1 in New York. [1] [3] Prior to this, he disc-jockeyed at Hot 97, until 2006. [4] [5] [6] [7]
In 1998, DJ Clue founded Desert Storm Records, a record label, with his childhood friends Skane Dolla (manager) and recording engineer Ken Duro Ifill. [8]
In 1999, DJ Clue took part in the Hard Knock Life Tour, including a stop in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre. [9]
In 2005, DJ Clue appeared as himself in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories , hosting a fictional hip-hop radio station The Liberty Jam .
John David Jackson, better known by his stage name Fabolous, is an American rapper. Raised in Brooklyn, he first gained recognition while still a senior in high school, when he performed live on American music executive DJ Clue's radio show, then on Hot 97. Jackson subsequently signed to DJ Clue's Desert Storm imprint, and later secured a distribution deal with major-label, Elektra. Jackson gained prominence with his first release, Ghetto Fabolous (2001), which spawned the hit singles "Can't Deny It" and "Young'n ". His second release was 2003's Street Dreams, which was supported by two US top 10 singles, "Can't Let You Go" and "Into You".

It was released on August 23, 1999, by Columbia Records as the lead single from Rainbow. The song was written by the artists and produced by Carey and DJ Clue, with additional writers being credited for the hook being built around a sample from "Attack of the Name Game" by Stacy Lattisaw. "Heartbreaker" pushed Carey even further into the R&B and hip hop market, becoming her second commercial single to feature a rapper. Rainbow is the seventh studio album by American R&B singer Mariah Carey, released on November 2, 1999, by Columbia Records.
