The album debuted at #13 on Oricon's weekly album chart, [4] reached #9 the next week, [5] and appeared on the yearly best-selling album chart at #84 in 1998 with 254,870 copies sold, along with another Dancemania album, Extra, which ranked #79. [6]

This album featured Smile.dk's first appearance in the series with the song "Butterfly". [2]

Bus Stop was a British dance act made up of Darren Sampson, alongside Graham Turner, Mark Hall and Nikki Reid (Lane). The group was formed in 1998 and had a string of hit singles before disbanding in 2002. Main vocalist, Sampson, went on to represent the UK in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest.

Dancemania Speed is a sub-series of Toshiba EMI's Dancemania compilation series. This series features faster, further remixed versions of recordings from previously released Dancemania albums or faster remixed covers of various famous songs. 40/40 The Best Selection is a double compilation album by British-Australian singer Olivia Newton-John. It was released by Universal Music on 13 October 2010 in Japan, simultaneously with the box set 40th Anniversary Collection. The compilation was specially created for the Japanese market and was later remastered by Universal Music Japan and pressed on SHM-CD. The songs were selected by votes from Japanese fans for a limited release edition that includes a bonus track. 40/40 The Best Selection peaked at number 20 on the Japanese Albums Chart.
