The Nippon Budokan, often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. It was originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most outstanding musical performance venues. The Budokan was a popular venue for Japanese professional wrestling for a time, and it has hosted numerous other sporting events such as the 1967 Women's Volleyball World Championship. Most recently, the arena hosted the Olympic debut of karate in the 2020 Summer Olympics, as well as the judo competition at both the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Boom Boom Satellites were a Japanese electronic music duo consisting of guitarist and vocalist Michiyuki Kawashima and bassist and programmer Masayuki Nakano. They were signed to Sony Music Entertainment Japan, with whom they had released all of their albums in Japan.
Mei Nakabayashi, better known by her stage name May'n, is a Japanese singer from Nagoya. Aspiring to become a musician since childhood, she began her music activities in 2003 upon passing an audition held by talent agency Horipro International. She made her major debut in 2005 under the Universal Music label with the release of her first single "Crazy Crazy Crazy". She would release two more singles under Universal Music, before transferring to Victor Entertainment in 2008. That same year, she had her break as the singing voice of the character Sheryl Nome in the anime series Macross Frontier.
Superfly is a Japanese rock act that debuted on April 4, 2007. Formerly a duo, the act now consists solely of lyricist and vocalist Shiho Ochi with former guitarist Kōichi Tabo still credited as the group's composer and part-time lyricist. Superfly's first two studio albums were certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, and their first four consecutive albums all debuted at the top of the Oricon Weekly Album Charts, a first for a female recording artist in Japan in over seven years.
Box Emotions is the second studio album by Japanese pop-rock band Superfly, released on September 2, 2009. It debuted at the number-one spot on the Oricon weekly album charts, making Superfly the first female artist in six years, since Chitose Hajime, to have her first two albums debut at the top of the charts. For the Japanese iTunes Store Rewind of 2009, Box Emotions was the album of the year. "Hanky Panky" was sent to radio stations as a promo single, and "Haru no Maboroshi" was sold as an album preview and pre-order bonus on the iTunes Store; it is still available as a separate single through iTunes.
Live in Budoukan is the sixth live album by Japanese idol duo Pink Lady. Recorded live during their Christmas concert at the Nippon Budokan on December 25, 1978, it was released on February 5, 1979.
"Alright!!" is a song by Japanese recording artist Superfly. It is her first single that was exclusively released digitally, rather than being a promotional single from one of her other singles or albums that was released through digital means. The song itself, made popular and originally only known by its "Na-Nana" hook, was used as the theme song for the Fuji TV drama BOSS. A ringtone version of "Alright!!" was initially released on May 6, 2009, and the full song was released to the iTunes Store and the Mora stores on June 3, 2009. "Alright!!" was subsequently released as the first track on the Box Emotions album three months later.

Da-ice, is a Japanese boy band. The group consists of five members: Yudai Ohno, Toru Iwaoka, Taiki Kudo, Sota Hanamura, and Hayate Wada. They were formerly signed to Universal Sigma until they transferred to Avex Trax in June 2020. They are currently managed by Avex Management Inc.
Flame of Love is the second Japanese extended play by South Korean singer Taemin under EMI Records, a division of Universal Music Japan. It was released digitally on July 3, 2017, and physically on July 18, 2017. The title track was released on June 28, 2017. Taemin performed songs from the EP at his first solo concert in Japan at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, which attracted 28,000 fans. The visual contents were co-produced by Mika Ninagawa. A deluxe edition comes with a bonus DVD with a music video for the title song, its dance version, and shooting sketch for cover artwork and music video. After the release, the album immediately ranked number one on Japan's daily albums charts, selling more than 45,000 copies.
The discography of Mucc includes 16 studio albums, three live albums, four extended plays, 45 singles, 15 demos and 29 video albums. They are a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1997. When original bassist Hiro left in 1999, the classic line up of Tatsuro on vocals, Miya on guitar, Yukke on bass, and Satochi on drums was solidified. Antique, their debut EP, was released in 1999 by Misshitsu Neurose, an independent record label formed by Cali Gari guitarist Ao Sakurai. Mucc signed to Danger Crue Records and established their own sublabel, Shu, for the 2002 release of their second album, Hōmura Uta. The band made their major label debut on Universal with Zekū the following year. In 2009, they returned to being an indie band on Danger Crue, before signing to Sony for 2012's Shangri-La. With the end of 2017, Mucc returned to being an independent band on Danger Crue yet again. After 24 years, Satochi retired from the music business in October 2021, leaving Mucc a trio.

In addition, an Amazon Japan exclusive release includes a bonus video from the band's 2015 Japan tour. The video covers the band's concert at the Nippon Budokan on January 6, 2016. It also features "Senbonzakura" filmed at different angles featuring each member.
Princess Princess Tour 2012: Saikai at Budokan is a live video album by the Japanese girl band Princess Princess, released on March 27, 2013, by SME Records on DVD and Blu-ray, and CD. It was recorded on November 23, 2012, at Nippon Budokan during the band's reunion tour, with proceeds of the album's sales going to the reconstruction of Japan after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.
Daishinnenkai 2022 Nippon Budokan: Yasoukenbunroku is the ninth live video album by Japanese band Wagakki Band, released on April 23, 2022 by Universal Music Japan in two editions: Blu-ray + CD and Blu-ray + DVD. The video covers the band's annual New Year concert at the Nippon Budokan on January 9, 2022. The concert aired on Wowow Plus on February 27, 2022.
