The Danish Cycling Federation or DCU (in Danish: Danmarks Cykle Union) is the national governing body of cycle racing in Denmark.

Dublin City University is a university based on the Northside of Dublin, Ireland. Created as the National Institute for Higher Education, Dublin in 1975, it enrolled its first students in 1980, and was elevated to university status in September 1989 by statute.

Dublin City University Gaelic Athletic Association Club is the GAA club at Dublin City University. The club fields teams in men's Gaelic football, hurling, ladies' Gaelic football and camogie. It also organises Gaelic handball. The club mainly competes in intervarsity competitions such as the Sigerson Cup, the Fitzgibbon Cup, the O'Connor Cup and the Ashbourne Cup. DCU has also entered competitions organised by the Leinster GAA, including the O'Byrne Cup, the Kehoe Cup and Walsh Cup. In 2016 St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra merged with Dublin City University. As a result some DCU GAA teams, especially reserve teams, compete as DCU St Patrick's or DCU Dóchas Éireann.

Ballerup Super Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena, in Ballerup, Denmark. The velodrome has a seated capacity of 6,500. During concerts, the arena can accommodate an audience of up to 9,200. It is owned by Ballerup Municipality. The arena is also a venue for many company events, conferences, team building events, trade fairs, company sports events and cycling events.

Denmark competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. The National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark sent the nation's second largest delegation to the Games after the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. A total of 113 athletes, 63 men and 50 women, competed in 17 sports, although two additional athletes played as team reserves. Handball was the only team-based sport in which Denmark was represented in at these Olympic games.

Julie Norman Leth is a Danish racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's World Team Uno-X Pro Cycling Team. She competed in the 2013 UCI women's road race in Florence. Leth joined the Wiggle High5 team in 2017. In December 2018, Bigla Pro Cycling announced that Leth would join them for the following season, after Wiggle High5 folded.
Danish national cycle route 5, known as the Østkystruten, is the fifth of the 11 Danish National Cycle Routes. It runs from Sønderborg in Southern Jutland to Skagen, the northernmost tip of Jutland in the Northern Jutland region. It follows the east coast of Jutland and is 650 km (400 mi) long, with 90% of this distance being along paved roads.
Danish national cycle route 4, is the fourth of the 11 Danish National Cycle Routes. It runs from Søndervig in West Jutland to Copenhagen on the island Zealand. The route is 310 km (190 mi) long, with 90% of this distance being along paved roads and one trip on a ferry between Aarhus and Odden.

2021 UEC European Track Championships was the twelfth edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Tissot Velodrome in Grenchen, Switzerland, from 5 to 9 October 2021. Originally it was supposed to be held in Minsk, Belarus, between 23 and 27 June 2021 as an elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling On 27 May 2021 the Management Board of the European Cycling Union decided to cancel the 2021 Elite Track European Championships scheduled in Minsk in June 2021.
