Dano Raffanti (born 5 April 1948) is an Italian tenor, particularly associated with the Italian baroque and bel canto repertory.

Born in Lucca, Raffanti trained in Milan with Rodolfo Celletti, and made his debut at La Scala in 1976, in Bussotti's Nottetempo. [1]
The following year, he appeared at the Festival della Valle d'Itria, in Antigone by Traetta, he was to return there regularly, singing in Traetta's Le serve rivali, I Capuleti e i Montecchi , Fra Diavolo , Il barbiere di Siviglia , etc. He sang Medoro in Vivaldi's Orlando furioso , in Verona, opposite Marilyn Horne, in 1978, repeating the role for his American debut in Dallas in 1980. [2] He also appeared at the Rossini Opera Festival at Pesaro in La donna del lago opposite Katia Ricciarelli, Lucia Valentini Terrani and Samuel Ramey in 1983, and made his debut at the Royal Opera House in London as Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi in 1984 opposite Agnes Baltsa and Edita Gruberová conducted by Riccardo Muti. His debut at the Paris Opéra in 1985 was as Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia.
Raffanti made his Metropolitan Opera debut in 1981 as Alfredo in La traviata , and later sang there the Duke in Rigoletto , Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor , Rodolfo in La bohème , the Italian singer in Der Rosenkavalier , Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore , and Goffredo in Handel's Rinaldo . [3]
His roles include also Ugo in Donizetti's Parisina d'Este , [4] Elvino in Bellini's La sonnambula , [5] the title roles in Mozart's La clemenza di Tito and Idomeneo , Lyonel in von Flotow's Martha , Rinuccio in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi and the role title in Verdi's Don Carlos , which he performed at Turin's Teatro Regio in 1990. Antonietta Marini-Rainieri was an Italian operatic soprano active during the first half of the 19th century. She was married to lauded operatic bass Ignazio Marini and often appeared on stage with him. In 1835 she portrayed Giulietta opposite Amalia Schütz Oldosi as Romeo in the Teatro Regio di Parma's first staging of Vincenzo Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montecchi. At La Scala she portrayed roles in the world premieres of Giuseppe Verdi's first two operas: Leonora in Oberto (1839) and the Marchesa del Poggio in Un giorno di regno (1840). She also appeared at that house as the Princess of Navarra in the premiere of Gaetano Donizetti's Gianni di Parigi (1839). In 1843 she sang the title role in the premiere of Giovanni Pacini's Maria, regina d'Inghilterra at the Teatro Carolino in Palermo. She reprised that role in December 1843 at La Scala and at the Teatro Carlo Felice in February 1844.

In 2001, he joined the Helikon Opera Theatre in Moscow, where he made his operatic debut in André Grétry's opera Pierre le Grand. Mironov won the 2nd Prize at the Neue Stimmen international singing competition in Germany in 2003. In Europe Mironov has performed in many opera houses.

Reno Andreini was an Italian operatic tenor who had an active international career from 1902–1924. A specialist in the Italian repertoire, he was frequently heard in the bel canto operas of Bellini, Donizetti, and Rossini, and in the verismo operas of Leoncavallo, Mascagni, and Puccini. He was notably the first singer to make a complete recording of the role of Rodolfo in Puccini's La boheme in 1917. He also recorded duets from La traviata with Maria Galvany and one duet from Massenet's Manon with Riccardo Tegani with the Gramophone Company.
Virgilio Lazzari was an Italian operatic bass who had an active international performance career from 1908 to 1953. He had lengthy associations with the Chicago Civic Opera (1918–1932) and the Metropolitan Opera (1933–1950), and frequently performed at the Salzburg Festival during the 1930s. He appeared as a guest artist with opera houses internationally, including the Royal Opera House, the Teatro Colón, and the Teatro Carlo Felice among others.
Maria Carbone was an Italian operatic soprano. She created the lead female roles in two of Gian Francesco Malipiero's operas: the title role in Ecuba and Cleopatra in Antonio e Cleopatra.
