Darafshan (Persian : دارافشان‎, also Romanized as Dārāfshān and Dārafshān)^[1] is a village in Garkan-e Shomali Rural District, Pir Bakran District, Falavarjan County, Isfahan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 489, in 116 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Garkan-e Shomali Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Pir Bakran District, Falavarjan County, Isfahan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 16,050, in 4,292 families. The rural district has 21 villages.

Pir Bakran District is a district (bakhsh) in Falavarjan County, Isfahan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 50,417, in 13,687 families. The District has two cities: Pir Bakran and Baharan Shahr. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Garkan-e Shomali Rural District and Sohr va Firuzan Rural District.
