David Malinowski is a BAFTA and Oscar winning special effects make-up artist. [1] [2] He started his career in 1996 and spent 10 years working for Madame Tussauds in London, then left to pursue his career in film and television. At the 2018 BAFTA Film Awards, he won the award for Film Makeup and Hair, and at the 90th Academy Awards, he won the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for his work on the 2017 film Darkest Hour. He was nominated with Kazuhiro Tsuji and Lucy Sibbick. [3] [4] He lives in the Buckinghamshire village of Aston Clinton. [5]

Lesley Vanderwalt is a New Zealand cinematic hair designer and makeup artist. Vanderwalt was raised and began her career in New Zealand before moving to Australia, where she has frequently collaborated with directors such as George Miller and Baz Luhrmann. She has worked as a hair or makeup supervisor on TV shows and films including Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, Farscape, Moulin Rouge!, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, and The Great Gatsby. Love Larson is a Swedish make-up artist and hair stylist. He is best known for his works in Skyfall (2012), The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared (2013), A Man Called Ove (2015), and Dune (2021). He received his first Oscar nomination Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling at the 88th Academy Awards along with Eva von Bahr.

Siân Grigg is a Welsh make-up artist. She is best known for her blockbusters and critically acclaimed feature film projects such as Saving Private Ryan (1998), The Aviator (2004), The Departed (2006), Inception (2010) and Django Unchained (2012). Grigg is a BAFTA award winner. At the 58th British Academy Film Awards she won the BAFTA Award for Best Makeup and Hair for her work on The Aviator. In 2016, she received another nomination from BAFTA for Best Makeup and Hair and her first Oscar nomination at 88th Academy Awards in the category of Best Makeup and Hairstyling for her work on the film The Revenant. Her nomination was shared with Duncan Jarman and Robert Pandini.

Kazu Hiro is a Japanese-born American special make-up effects artist and visual artist. He won the Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for the biographical films Darkest Hour (2017) and Bombshell (2019) after earning nominations for the comedies Click (2006) and Norbit (2007).

Arjen Tuiten is a Netherlands-born American Special effects make-up artist. Tuiten started his career under the supervision of Stan Winston, Rick Baker, and Dick Smith. He worked on films Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), Pan's Labyrinth (2006), Terminator Salvation (2009), Iron Man 2, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011), Maleficent (2014), Wonder (2017) and Welcome to Marwen (2018). Daniel Phillips is an English special effects make-up artist known for his work on films Florence Foster Jenkins, Dracula Untold, Closed Circuit, The Duchess, The Queen, and Victoria & Abdul, for which he was nominated with Lou Sheppard for the Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling in the 90th Academy Awards.

Lou Sheppard or Loulia Sheppard is an English Special effects make-up artist. Known for her work on films Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Now You See Me 2, Florence Foster Jenkins, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Guardians of the Galaxy, Anna Karenina, The King's Speech, and Victoria & Abdul, for which she was nominated with Daniel Phillips for Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling nomination at 90th Academy Awards.

Lucy Sibbick is a British special effects make-up artist. She is best known for her work on the film Darkest Hour for which she was awarded with Kazuhiro Tsuji and David Malinowski the Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling at the 90th Academy Awards. Lucy resides in the North West of England, with her husband Arie Dekker.

Donald James Mowat, CM, is a Canadian-British makeup artist. He is best known for his work on 8 Mile, The Fighter, Prisoners, Skyfall, Nightcrawler, Sicario, Nocturnal Animals, Blade Runner 2049, First Man, and Dune. Originally from Montreal, divides his time between Los Angeles and Toronto.

The British Academy Television Craft Award for Best Make-Up & Hair Design is one of the categories presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) within the British Academy Television Craft Awards, the craft awards were established in 2000 with their own, separate ceremony as a way to spotlight technical achievements, without being overshadowed by the main production categories. According to the BAFTA website, the eligibility of this category is "limited to artists directly responsible for the make up and hair design in the programme."

Linda Dowds is a Canadian-British make-up artist. She is best known for her work on The Eyes of Tammy Faye, True Detective, The Kennedys and Grey Gardens.

Judy Chin is an Academy Award-winning American makeup artist, having won the Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for The Whale in 2023. With this win, she became the first woman of Asian descent to win the Academy Award in that category.
