David Lloyd Nelson (born 11 March 1967) is a male English former hurdler who competed in the 110 metres hurdles.
Nelson won a bronze medal for England, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games, [1] [2] and went on to achieve his career-best time of 13.42 secs in the heats of the 1991 World Championships, to qualify for the semifinals. This performance still ranks him in the UK all-time top ten. [3] He also represented England, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. [4]
Nelson won the 110m hurdles titles at the 1991 AAA Championships and the 1991 UK Championships. [5]

During a career in which he represented Great Britain and Wales, he won an Olympic silver medal, became world champion twice, world indoor champion once, was undefeated at the European Championships for 12 years and was twice Commonwealth champion. His world record of 12.91 seconds for the 110 m hurdles stood for over 10 years and his 60 metres hurdles world record stood for nearly 27 years.

Andrew Steven Turner is an English bodybuilder and retired track and field athlete who specialised in the 110 metres hurdles and occasionally competed in the 100 and 200 metres sprints as well as long jump. At the 110 m hurdles, he is the 2011 World Championship bronze medallist, the 2010 European Champion and the 2010 Commonwealth Champion. Also in 2010, he broke the automatically timed world record in the 200 metres hurdles. He was coached by Lloyd Cowan.

The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The event was won by Mark McKoy of Canada, the nation's second title in the event and first since 1920. It broke a two-Games streak of American victories.

He was NCAA indoor champion in the 60 m hurdles in 2014 and 2015 and outdoor champion in the 110 m hurdles in 2015; he turned professional after the 2015 collegiate season, forgoing his two remaining years of collegiate eligibility. His personal best in the 110 m hurdles ranks him equal 7th on the world all-time list.
