Bernard James Freeman, known professionally as Bun B, is an American rapper. He is best known as one half of the southern rap duo UGK, a group he formed in 1987 alongside Pimp C. Aside from his work with UGK, Bun B has released five solo albums, including 2010's Trill OG, which received the rare 5-mic rating from The Source.
Trill is the debut solo studio album by American rapper Bun B. It was released on October 18, 2005, through Rap-A-Lot Records. Recording sessions took place at Studio 7303 in Houston and at PatchWerk Recording Studios and Stankonia Studios in Atlanta. Production was handled by Mr. Lee, Mannie Fresh, Salih Williams, Bigg Tyme, Cory Mo, Jazze Pha, John Bido, KLC, Lil Jon, Maejor, Mike Dean, Mr. Collipark, Sean Wee, Trey Songz and Travis Barker. Pop rap is a genre of music fusing the rhythm-based lyricism of hip-hop music with pop music's preference for melodious vocals and catchy tunes emphasizing on pop like productions and structure. The lyrics are often positive, with choruses similar to those heard in pop music. This genre gained mainstream popularity during the 1990s, though the influences and roots of pop rap can trace back to late-1980s hip-hop artists such as Run-DMC, LL Cool J, and Beastie Boys.

"Feeling" spent four consecutive weeks at number 1 on the Nigerian TurnTable Top 50 chart, and became the most played song on Nigeria radio from 26 May to 13 July 2021. The song peaked at number 1 on the TurnTable Top 50 Streaming Songs and peaked at number 3 on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart. On 14 July 2022, it debut at number 6 on TurnTable newly launched Top Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart.
Afrobeats, not to be confused with Afrobeat or Afroswing, is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing majorly out of Nigeria. Genres such as hiplife, jùjú music, highlife, azonto music, and naija beats, among others, were amalgamated under the "Afrobeats" umbrella.

"Sugarcane" is a song by Ghanaian singer and songwriter Camidoh, featuring the Nigerian record producer Phantom, released in 2021 by Grind Don't Stop Records, through Crux Global, and MOVES Recordings. A remix, with Mayorkun, and Darkoo, featuring the Ghanaian singer King Promise, was released in 2022. The song gained popularity across TikTok, following the release of the remix.
Nicholas Ihua-Maduenyi, widely known as PsychoYP, is a Nigerian alternative hip hop rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is a member of the music collective Apex Village. He came into the music scene with a critically acclaimed mixtape, YPSZN, which earned him a nomination at the SAMAs, and the Headies for his second fit album YPSZN2. Dubbed "The Fresh Prince of Nigerian Rap", he is regarded as one of Nigeria's rap music pioneers in the alté music scene.

Odumodublvck is a member of the hip-hop collective Anti World Gangstars. He currently resides in Abuja, Nigeria.
Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, known professionally as Khaid, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper currently signed to Neville Records. He rose to stardom with the release of the song "With You", after signing a record deal with Sydney Talker's Neville Records in 2022, which earned him his first chart entry on Nigeria TurnTable Top 50 single chart at number forty-eight on 14 February 2022. Khaid converted to Christianity after leaving Islam.

He is best known as a pioneer of alté, and credited for the crossover success of Odumodublvck single "Declan Rice".

He gained recognition after collaborating with Odumodublvck and Zlatan on the single "Picanto", which was released on 23 November 2022. The song debuted at number 79 on the TurnTable Top 100 chart, earning him his first chart entry. On 23 January 2023, "Picanto" peaked at number 65 on the chart, and Miles was ranked 6th on TurnTable's NXT Emerging Top Artistes list. He is the CEO and co-founder of Daed Empire Records.
