Declaration of Dependence is the third album from Norwegian duo Kings of Convenience, their first album in five years. [2] It was released on 5 October 2009. "Mrs Cold" and "Boat Behind" have been released as radio singles in some countries.

Contents

The album was pre-released on 21 September for Spotify premium subscribers. It was released in selected countries (such as Poland) on 28 September 2009. [3]

The Whitest Boy Alive German-Norwegian musical group

The Whitest Boy Alive is a German-Norwegian musical group based in Berlin. It was originally active from 2003 to 2014; after a five-year hiatus, the group reformed in 2019. The band is composed of singer and guitarist Erlend Øye of Kings of Convenience, bassist Marcin Öz, drummer Sebastian Maschat, and Daniel Nentwig on Rhodes piano and Crumar.

Skog was a rock band from Bergen which formed in the early 1990s and folded at the end of the same decade. The group consisted of Anders Waage Nilsen, Øystein Gjærder Bruvik, Eirik Glambek Bøe and Erlend Øye. The latter two later found success as the duo Kings of Convenience. The band released in 1996 the EP Tom Tids Tale, which consisted of four songs, plus a cover song of Joy Division's The Eternal on a compilation. In 2006, Anders Waage Nilsen, Øystein Gjærder Bruvik and Eirik Glambek Bøe got back together to form the band Kommode.

Quarantine at El Ganzo is a joint solo album by European musicians Sebastian Maschat and Erlend Øye, both members of the German-Norwegian dance-rock band The Whitest Boy Alive. It was recorded spontaneously during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Hotel El Ganzo in Mexico, after a planned recording session for new The Whitest Boy Alive material had to be abandoned due to the pandemic. It was released digitally on 31 July 2020 on Bubbles Records, the indie label set up by Erlend Øye and Marcin Öz in 2006.
