The Danish participating broadcaster, Statsradiofonien , organised the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1958 in order to select its entry for the contest.
Statsradiofonien held the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1958 on 16 February at Radiohuset in Copenhagen, hosted by Sejr Volmer-Sørensen. The winning song was chosen by a jury of 10 people and only the winning song was announced. [1]

On the contest, "Jeg rev et blad ud af min dagbog" was conducted by Kai Mortensen and performed sixth in the running order, following Sweden and preceding Belgium. At the close of voting "Jeg rev et blad ud af min dagbog" had received 3 points, placing Denmark eighth of the 10 entries. [2] [3] It was succeeded as Danish entry at the 1959 contest with "Uh, jeg ville ønske jeg var dig" performed by Birthe Wilke.
Every participating broadcaster assembled a jury panel of ten people. Every jury member could give one point to his or her favourite song.
Raquel Rastenni, born Anna Rachel Rastén, was a Danish-Russian singer. She was born in Copenhagen, and grew up in an apartment in the poor part of the city. Her Jewish parents immigrated to Denmark from Russia at the start of the 20th century. Her father was a tailor, and her mother was a seamstress.
Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the song "Tell Me Who You Are" written by Michael Ronson. The song was performed by Malene Mortensen. The Danish broadcaster DR organised the national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2002 in order to select the Danish entry for the 2002 contest in Tallinn, Estonia. Ten songs competed in a televised show where "Vis mig hvem du er" performed by Malene Mortensen was the winner as decided upon through two rounds of jury voting and public voting. The song was later translated from Danish to English for the Eurovision Song Contest and was titled "Tell Me Who You Are".
"Lilla stjärna" is song performed by Alice Babs with music composed by Åke Gerhard and Swedish lyrics written by Gunnar Wersén. It represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1958, held in Hilversum. It was Sweden's first song in the contest, and the first time that the Swedish language was performed in Eurovision.
