Desiree Francis (born 24 August 1975) is an American former basketball player. Francis grew up in Antigua in the Caribbean. She moved to Iowa in 1996 to attend Kirkwood Community College. Pryor to her arrival at Kirkwood, Francis had not played basketball for four years but was invited to the team by coach Kim Muhl on the recommendation of former Kirkwood player Arnold Barnes. During her two year stint at Kirkwood, the team went 68-5. In 1998 she transferred to Iowa State [1] [2] [3] where she was noted for her good 3-point shooting and defense. She was drafted by the New York Liberty in the 2000 WNBA Draft. [4] [5] [6]

Vickie Johnson is a former basketball player and head coach of the Dallas Wings. Johnson is the former head coach of the San Antonio Stars. Upon the sale and relocation of the Stars, Johnson was hired by head coach Bill Laimbeer as an assistant coach of the Las Vegas Aces, the Stars' decedent team.

Samantha Logic is an American basketball player. She also played for the San Antonio Stars of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She played college basketball at the University of Iowa. A 5'9" point guard from Racine, Wisconsin, Logic played for the Hawkeyes from 2011 to 2015, earning All-American honors in her senior season. 1969–70 Iowa Hawkeyes mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 1969–70 Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team represented the University of Iowa in intercollegiate basketball during the 1969–70 season. The team was led by Ralph Miller and played their home games at the Iowa Field House. The Hawkeyes finished the season 20–5 and won the Big Ten title with a 14–0 conference record. To date, this is the last outright regular season conference title for the Iowa men's basketball team.

She became the first Serbian player to play in the WNBA when she appeared in Charlotte Sting's opener of the 1997 WNBA season on 22 June where she scored 3 points in 14 minutes. That ended being her only WNBA game as a back injury that she suffered in the game ended her season. In 1999, she was set to join the Los Angeles Sparks but the deal fell through due to visa problems.
