Suzanne Brigit Bird is an American former professional basketball player who played her entire career with the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Bird was drafted first overall pick by the Storm in the 2002 WNBA draft and is considered one of the greatest players in WNBA history. As of 2024, Bird is the only WNBA player to win titles in three different decades. She held a front office position for the NBA's Denver Nuggets as their Basketball Operations Associate. She has also played for three teams in the Russian league and holds dual citizenship with both U.S. and Israel.
Shannon Regina "Pee Wee" Johnson is an American basketball player born in Hartsville, South Carolina. She last played for the Seattle Storm in the WNBA. She was the head coach at Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina from 2015 to 2020.

She is a former professional basketball player in the WNBA, as well as playing in the Bosnian league for the ZKK Mladi Krajisnik club. Her primary position is the small forward. Her second position is shooting guard. In 1999 Sales was added to the roster of the USA FIBA Senior National Team. Her brother Brooks Sales played forward for Villanova from 1998 to 2002, and currently plays overseas in Spain for the Club Baloncesto Breogán of Lugo.

The Wade Trophy is an award presented annually to the best upperclass women's basketball player in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I competition. It is named after three–time national champion Delta State University coach Lily Margaret Wade. The award debuted in 1978 as the first–ever women's national player of the year award in college basketball. State Farm Insurance sponsors the award, and the trophy is presented at the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) National Convention.
LaMurriel Page is a former American college and professional basketball player who was a forward and center in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) for eleven seasons. Page played college basketball for the University of Florida, and was drafted in the first round of the 1998 WNBA draft. She played professionally for the Washington Mystics and the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA. Currently, she is an assistant women's basketball coach at Miami Hurricanes.
The TCU Horned Frogs are the athletic teams that represent Texas Christian University. The rifle team competes in the Patriot Rifle Conference, and the beach volleyball team moved to CUSA for 2023–24 after having been in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association.

The team plays its home games in the Foster Pavilion. Before the 2021–22 season, the team had been known as the "Lady Bears", but on September 3, 2021, the school officially announced that women's basketball had dropped "Lady" from its nickname. She was active in the USA Basketball, serving as head coach of the gold medal winning World University Games team in 1979 and the Pan American Games team in 1983. She also held leadership positions with the US national team. Garmon was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000.

She is also contracted with the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She played college basketball for the Stanford Cardinal of the Pac-12 Conference, helping the team win the national championship in 2021 while being named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player. She was selected sixth overall in the 2023 WNBA draft by the Atlanta Dream.
