History

Dhubri Law College was established on 10 September 1967 in Dhubri. It was founded by eminent lawyer and educationist Dinesh Ranjan Sarkar. He was the first Princpal and founder Secretary of Dhubri Law College. [3]

Bholanath College

B. N. College or Bhola Nath College of Dhubri is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Western Assam, India. The college was established in 1946 mainly from the donations of Lakhipur Estate Zamindar family of Late Bhola Nath Choudhury. Bilasipara College

Bilasipara College, Old name -"N.N College" Bilasipara in Dhubri district of Assam, was established in 1960 with the objective of imparting higher education to the young people of the rural and economically backward western Assam. It is the second oldest college in Dhubri district. It is now under Deficit Grant-in-Aid system of the government of Assam. At present 16 departments are operating with a staff strength of only 77. It is affiliated to Gauhati University, Guwahati and recognized by University Grants Commission under 2f and 12B. The NAAC accredited the college with a B grade in 2014.

Nurul Islam is an Indian politician. He was elected to the Assam Legislative Assembly from Mankachar in the 1972 Assam Legislative Assembly election as a member of the Indian National Congress.He served as member of the Lok Sabha representing Dhubri. He was elected to 7th, 10th and 11th Lok Sabha.
