Pub Kamrup College, established in 1972, is a general degree college situated at Baihata Chariali in Kamrup district, Assam. This college is affiliated with the Gauhati University. [1] The college fraternity as well as the locality at large is thankful to the concern doyens for their able guidance and leadership in the act of initiation of the college. Started with Arts stream, there are a total of 59 regular teachers being engaged in all the three faculties- Arts, Science and Vocational Course, and in a few professional courses in the college at a present.

Location

It is situated at Baihata in Kamrup District, Assam. It is the junction point of two National Highways- 31 and 52.The Madan Kamdev Devalaya (remnant of the 10th-12th century shrine, now a government recognized tourist spot) is at a distance of 3 km from the college.

Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University

In 2015, Pub Kamrup College started the study centre of Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University with Mr. Pratul Kalita, Assistant Professor of Computer Science Department as its Co-ordinator. At present, this study centre is providing the following courses

Library

Pub Kamrup College Library is an academic library and inseparable part of Pub Kamrup College (PKC), established in 1972, and has been serving its member form its inception. The Library has strong collection of 32000+ books serving near about the 3500+ students and 100 teaching, non teaching staff. This Library is providing various services to its users and trying to expand the wings of its services. The Library is strengthening its structure with the two strong sections i.e. Reference Section and the Museum.

The Library is a Member of NBT Book Club, National Book Trust, New Delhi. It is also connected with INFLIBNET's N-LIST Programme & NDLI.

Nowgong College is an autonomous college affiliated to Gauhati University. Established in 1944, it is one of the oldest co-educational colleges of Assam, situated in the city of Nagaon. It was initially established with the permission of the University of Calcutta but later, in 1948, the college was accorded affiliation to the Gauhati University. On 22nd December 2020, the college was granted autonomy by the University Grants Commission for a period of 10 years.

Hojai College, established on 11 July 1964, is a general degree college situated in Hojai, Assam. This college is affiliated with the Gauhati University.
